a bit of update of the system that went for servicing.

The loaner unit i am using now is very stable and so far no error, they will exchange this board with the faulty board that is on my system. thus I no need to test the system again when the new board arrive this week. they make arrangement to do the swap of the board this friday. all the security features are working as per normal on this board and i pretty happy with it. All the TVT software are working fine.

Finally can get back my own laptop because i cannot tahan WXGA screen resolution, damn er xin resolution sia. wondering why its still being sold.

i recently had this case. cust bought a t410 but his max resolution is 1280 only... so he was saying how can his t410 lose to my set. which i was using at that time. t60 running on 1440 win7. and was comparing this n that n all the nonsense y boot up so slow and stuff when he's on a i5...

i advise consumers to really check on the specs when they buy from resellers... the fine details are always the most impt..

Wah. i5 still slow ah.... Advise him to upgrade his CPU at the service centre (throw in an i7 CPU). :D

actually i also dint realise. coz i have to admit. i assumed all T410 is high spec. but then when i check the machine type... i realise that his one was the lowest of all specs.. so i think 1 cent 1 quality no matter wat. haha

Bro. Actually the booting is really slow. That's why I change to intel 80gb g2 ssd. Cause the loan unit is running a hdd. It's actually quite slow. This new i5 system does not mean it's fast, because the hdd is really slow. His complain is true. Cause the system start up is same speed as my old t60

If I am not wrong, you can drop by the service centre and loan a set of WinXP recovery DVD and do it. Vista Business should come with downgrade rights to WinXP.

You might want to call their service centre at 1800-418-9933 to double confirm.

just called em.

if loan d DVD, u can do it on yr own in their service centre for free.

If u want to ask their engineers to do it, its 30sgd if still under warranty.

if w/o warranty, its 30 + 75(labour).

To get them to do it, will take 3 working days.

Hope this info helps. :)

Yes, if you are technical enough, do it yourself.
