I think the user went for SSD to gain the extra speed advantage, I am sure he will have a huge external HDD attached since he is doing video editing?

Comments?

If I get this in SIN, I think $4k sgd not enough. I am using it for heavy video editing

Good spec. Does the depot warranty applicable in Singapore ?

The Depot warranty is applicable in SIN as the model I am buying warrant for Intl warranty.

The 80GB Intel msata SSD will be installed in the WWAN slot and WIN 7 will be loaded and boot up from there. The original 500GB 2.5" 7200 rpm HDD that came with the NB will be a storage HDD. If you need RAID or more storage, the DVD writer can be removed and install another HDD if you buy the ultra-bay.

If the SSD is going to be installed in the WWAN slot, are you saying that you won't have the internal WWAN option no more?

If I need WWAN (Wireless WAN) i get dongle from ISP better. Please also do not mistaken WWAN as WLAN, wireless LAN is built in already like all NB today

Understood, WWAN are for SIMs...

Pardon my ignorance, may I know the reasons why the dongle is better than the in-built WWAN. My T410 is using internal WWAN and kind off so used to it, what is my disadvantage? Thanks :)

It is just my personal choice since Intel make the 310 SSD that can be fitted into that slot so don't want to waste it. My job are desk bound and already got WLAN in some many places so dun really needs it

T is always a better choice if you need to carry it around. W is more for desktop replacement.

It depend on your need. Dongle may be more flexible if you need to share and use it with another PC. But you have to carry additional item and many times if you move the pc around it get hit with other object and may demaged the USB port.

Do take note 2620 is dual core whereas 2720 is quad core
