T420 Rubberized Coating

Hi I have owned the T420 for about a mth and noticed that both corners of my lid have worn. i.e. the matte finish has peeled a bit revealing the glossy plastic. And i have been very careful with he laptop. Do the edges in general get worn off as easily as mine?

Yes, the edges are quite prone to wear and tear. It is normal.

I get that too...I think its the abrasion inside the laptop sleeve or bag over time.

Yea i use a laptop sleeve too.
even when putting it in I'm careful and gentle. Guess that portion is really vulnerable. Guess have to live with it

I just got the X220 from my university, but they didn't have additional battery options so I settled for the 4-cell. Is there a local retailer that offers the 6-cell slice? Or a 6-cell/9-cell battery for this model?

Or if it's cheaper/better to order online, is there a recommended online retailer?

Go to Addon Systems in Funan, they are authorised to carry most range of ThinkPad products. For online, you may wish to order directly from Lenovo US.
