If you mean if the school image can be wiped out with the recovery disk, I think yes, you can do it.

Yeah :D Prefer to use it without the school image. :s13: But wanna install the Lenovo experience thingy to enjoy fast boot

Go for clean windows installation, then install System Update and pick the components that you use.

I will only install HDD protection, Power Controls and On-Screen Display.

I will be given the recovery disc so its considered clean windows installation rite? Also, i thought windows 7 updates should keep up to date for all updates rite? Then the lenovo thingy can install selectively right?

Hi folks. One of the rubber feet of my x200 fell off. I heard that they can replace it for you at the service centre. Anyone knows how much it will roughly cost?

I have had bad experiences with Access Connections on my Thinkpads. Out of 4 T61, 2 could connect properly whereas the other 2 refused to connect, but once I uninstalled Access Connections from all 4 T61s, all were able to connect instantly to whatever wireless routers available.

After that incident, all future Thinkpads coming through my hands, I immediately uninstall Access Connections. :)

Some old T61 has WIFI firmware issue with Access Connection. This has been fixed long time back.

when he wakes up from hibernation, it takes much longer to recover. This is because the comp starts, a copy of hard disk storage, and when you return to the point where they hibernated

So I deleted hibernation reserves disk space.

Big mistake.

I use Access Connection day in and out for all my wireless connections and I must admint, I think now if I move off Lenovo Thinkpad, I might miss this feature.

I use it to configure my wireless profiles and back them up so I do not have to reconfigure them when I change to another Thinkpad or perform a reformat. This is something very useful.

Let me add...

Also with Access Connections and a GSM SIM Card, it will just connect flawlessly without having you to worry about settings. Well I can't explain this, but I brought my ThinkPad when I travel for work, and any country's SIM Card is like a slot in and just connect for me. Unlike the dongle where I will always have to key in settings manually.

Hmm... too bad I won't be able to try it out as I will be using the space for a mSATA SSD to load my OS and important programs.

:D something new for me too 11 months ago, someone from the ThinkPad forum tipped me off when I was busy looking for a 3G software that will recognise Singtel, M1 & Starhub SIMcard when actually Access Connection will recognise all of them!

Do you mean with access connections? I can access to SIM Card's data connection?
