your local set can insert sim card for 3g ??

for those who got your laptop from lenovo US , any issue with the power plug and adaptor ?

just placed my order for the X1 from the US website. :)

sg sets all no 3G modem de. that's why i want to order from US.

local set now wwan ready... meaning no 3g module and the antenna..... got sim card slot thou....

reserving it for the T430s when it is available :) i need a lighter notebook with better graphics... the x1 i buy is for travel use :s13:

Eh... X1 was not confirmed to have IWS last I checked... has it been changed now?

I was playing with the X1 at Comex and felt the screen portion is heavier than the keyboard/CPU portion.

Do you have the same feel?

I am so tempted to get a X1 right now. I want to make sure that it can run ESXi (on 1600x1400) before i get it.

go get it... I have no regrets...

I sold my HP Spectre Envy, though that's a good machine. but the weight difference and the keyboard is the deciding factor

What SSD is the X1 using?

I read reviews that the start up is pretty slow about 17sec....what is your experience ?

have been this X1C for the whole weekend as I was preparing for some presentations...

1. maybe I wasn't too tough on the machine, was doing ppt, downloading, and playing of mp3s, machine didn't heat up as much as making me uncomfy;

2. keyboard is really really fantastic;

3. free wired mouse is so much better than the microsoft wedge mouse I bought;

4. i always thought I like glossy screen, but this matt screen is holding up to its strength;

5. tend to leave some oil marks on the keyboard, not sure if it's me or the weather or asian?;

6. while updating Windows, keep failing. no choice, had to update some items (trial in error)...hey, batch by batch, machine is okay...so suspect something wrong with microsoft;

overall, good machine, havent turn it off for 3 days, not sure if that's the stability of the machine or Windows 7...well, whatever, I am happy with this baby

For the windows update problem. Go google windows update fail there should be a fixit file to reset the win update.

Run it and reboot and click check for windows update and it will show around 24++ updates uncheck all and start updating 2 at a time from the bottom. All the update will kick in eventually. That's how I solved the windows update problem
