Ignore user function can ignore likes

Hi admin Vijay and mods,

I have tested the ignore function, it works as intended. It can prevent reactions notification from popping up on the notification bar without switching off the "Reacts to your message" in preference.

Yet some toxic users are blatantly ganging up on others to get admin to revoke forum function from certain users, knowing that the ignore function works.

See the quote below: They don't like others liking their post they can ignore the user, but they chose to complain and create threads to gain traction, hatred, sowing discord and disharmony within the forum.

THE SOLUTION is to IGNORE USERS but they chose not to do it anyway. I'm sure the negative feelings from both parties goes both ways.

Please do reconsider, returning the like button as reasons such as "had to turn off alert" does not stand as an valid argument.

The users that gather here are circle jerking even though the solution is provided and known. Bullying other users using mods and admin should not be tolerated.

It worked for me, once i put WhyNPNT, Silentears to my ignore list, i stopped receiving notifications from their "likes".
But that also mean i won't see what they post, which is something i don't think they want.

End of the day, its not about putting them on ignore or not, its the spamming of likes which is not a correct use of the feature, and it cause other users to receive an unnecessary number of notifications.

Here, I have a better suggestion for you.
Use the ignore function and add other people so you can't spam them.
As you said so yourself, you know the ignore function works.

Why not we look at it another way and ask, what are you trying to achieve by spamming likes?
Did you really like what someone posted, or u blindly click "like" in the threads you went in?
For those u believed were against u and your gang, i honestly think it was the latter. The likes appeared way too fast for us to reasonably believe that u read all the posts and like all of them.
And this is the problem.

If u continue to not see this and insist u done no wrong, then there is nothing much for me to say.

Dear mods or admin, as you can see, someone is trying to bait me, i will ignore him without using the ignore function until the issue has been resolved.

After the issue has been resolved, I will definitely ignore him with the ignore function. I am using the reaction function as intended, just because he doesn't like my reaction doesn't equate to spam. There are multiple ways to go around this, but there is no reason for me to give in to his demand.

There are options laid out for him but he chose to be entitled.
It's akin to someone who doesn't want to be poor, but begs others to give him free money. There's always options, but apparently they do not wish to take action upon themselves.

I will give in to him, since he requested, but only after the issue has been resolved. Until then, if he wishes to ignore me he can jolly well do so.
