I cropped out all the doxxing details. And circled all the important points.

this is a ILP.

3 pointer to make;

Starting year 2017
Yearly premium to pay $2400.0
Value now year 2024 $321.00

surrender value $128.00!

气死我了!🤯🤯🤯🤯
I STILL REMEMBER CLEAR AS DAY, that BLARDY agent can tell me with a very serious, straight face to me, “ i want to help you save for your future, i scared next time you don’t have saving!!

i put in bank earn 0% interest also way better lor!!!

PUI LA!!!
But u terminated less than 10 years. What do u expect? Looking at the format of letter, it’s probably smart protect plan?

I also have this ilp, that my first Lao auntie agent sold to me.

being unsavvy in financial products, I signed up, added the conservative etfs on her advice (she also quite unsaavy on hindsight), and after 8 years not much growth. I only found out more after this agent pissed me off, I change agent and new young gentle looking agent advised me, looking horrified at my portfolio.

after that I changed portfolio, and viola. Covid struck. Ahahhahaha. So for now my ilp only have the basic Amt, treat it like a minimum investment plan. Until such time where it is making profits, surrender value > the investment value (annual premium minus the est insurance coverage premium)

Definitely been on a downward trend from day 1,
And guess the funny part?
Experts here recommend me to hold it for a long time horizon.
But i have been holding it for like 7 years? Long enough? Or follow your advise and switch earlier them also kenna bash by experts here for not holding lol

i think its even more funny that u listen to experts here without validating anything on investment strategies

if u ur lazy u should stick to fixed guaranteed returns like fixed deposit

in any case i hoped u learnt something from this expensive lesson

theres no shortcut to earning money u cant be lazy and greedy at the same time its just a disaster in the making

So what do ILPs invest into? On the investment front, most insurers will have carefully selected pre-packaged portfolio funds to cater for customers who are not as active as investors or have basic investment knowledge and who prefer to leave the portfolio management to the fund manager. For customers who are more investment savvy and prefer to be hands-on, the class of funds invested into can be selected based on their expectations and objectives through ‘investment units’. Do note that the value of the invested units depend on performance. ILPs usually do not have guaranteed cash values, so the upside or downside depends on what they are invested into. Regular review with a financial advisory representative is important as it ensures that the ILP remains relevant to one’s needs.

Basically a portfolio but they never specify the composition. Those bo tak chek insurance agents basically do u in telling u it's like fixed d LOL
And the 'experts' here tell u to hold LOL
