Yea its tricky

Cause most the time so called agent only wan to earn commission, if they so good they already ownself start company

The "recommendation" usually come from the above as well , they are just foot soldiers

I only buy such policy with the following 2 conditions:
1. Agent must be very chio.
2. Agent willing to bed.
So far, only 3 agents has fulfilled these conditions. $$$$$ well spent actually for me.
TS agent must be with a guy or dinobu. No wonder so angry.

This type of policy once buy can only go one direction.

Last time I bought PCI..100 lot at 86 cents. Then again I bought 100 Lot at 88 cents, hoping can go 92 cents n contra.
It didn't n went down, remisier forced sold n close my account after I lost $20k on 1 counter n pay him after some time.
I don't regret cos it is my greed.

Funds hardly drop overnight it probably has been dropping overtime and u not been caring to do a fund switch or redeem earlier

u should have done just fixed deposit if u are like this

My wife was conned at OCBC Tampines central.
Teller refer her to talk to an agent there after seeing my wife bank account 30 years back.
Agent told my wife. ILP is like fixed deposit. Can get back more even after 10 year.
My wife every year puy $2k n after 10 years, got back less than 1/4 of original investment.
My wife want to keep her saving secret, hence never tell me on buying an ILP investment.
Hope Karma strike that Agent for conning pple that ILP is like FD

Honestly, many times , not ocbc, when I do trasact over the counter, the counter staff will see my book n wanted to sell me investment plan.

Which honestly I am not feel good at.
And the bank or MAS should gv all banks a stern warning not to solicit customers to buy any investments. Cos if investments gone wrong , who's fault?.

Definitely been on a downward trend from day 1,
And guess the funny part?
Experts here recommend me to hold it for a long time horizon.
But i have been holding it for like 7 years? Long enough? Or follow your advise and switch earlier them also kenna bash by experts here for not holding lol

It’s a long term investment e.g. minimum 5 years
Might not be worth it if FD interest rate is high
In the end after 5 years you earn about the same as FD.
Personally I think FD is better because you are still assured of the capital plus interest
Whereas those investment policies under insurance companies depend on investment earnings which is not predictable
