Anyone heard of this company? Full capital refund plus 15% interest in just 1 year. The US company buys distressed properties, renovate them and sell them at a profit.

Any thoughts? Understand is not regulated by MAS, but the thought of 15% guaranteed returns in just one year seems interesting for a punt.

If can guaranteed 15% .. why they need you?
They can borrow from bank at 1.5%... and do it themselves.

Thanks for all the replies. I have a friend who has put $50k with them. Now cross fingers see if can get back money after one year or not. Hmm, if this is really some kind of ponzi scheme, MAS should step in to regulate. Nobody knows if the affiliated party in the US is actually doing the investing or not.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Ponzi schemes usually hold the capital for a long period of time, while giving high coupon payouts to attract ppl to subscribe. If this scheme can return capital in 1 yr, then how do they sustain the returns if their actual investment is not making that kind of money?

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investment operation that pays returns to its investors from their own money or the money paid by subsequent investors, rather than from profit earned by the individual or organization running the operation. The Ponzi scheme usually entices new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent. Perpetuation of the high returns requires an ever-increasing flow of money from new investors to keep the scheme going.[1]

The solution to this is to give the MAS pre-emptive enforcement powers, like ASIC in Australia or the SEC in the United States. Both of those agencies are allowed to shut down Ponzis before they blow up. The MAS is already good at spotting scams - the Investor Alert List is a pretty good early-warning system - so they just need to be given more enforcement powers.

I second that.

Just got a call from them today. Sounds too good to be true initially. Went through their website and seems legit.

Anyone invested?

Someone seems to be promoting it in our forum.

The moment I saw a 100% - 200% return after 5 to 7 years for land banking in HK with a track record of 1 year, I felt it's too good to be true...

seems too good to be true honestly i was drafted in to join the company last year when I was just out from the army.

i wonder how people can put their money into hands of someone with no experience, in this case myself. Thus not accepting the job as I'm still too green for this last year.

too good to be true...

I feel that most of our forum regulars learn to build their own wealth.

But every once in a while there are people that will come in and tell us how he is going to build other people wealth....:vijayadmin:

No matter how we advise those who like to build other people wealth, they will never listen....GREED is the word.

I don't know if rat poison is poison or not...

Only way to find out is you drink it.

One year later, you come back and tell me if it's poison.

Hi all,

I talked to a friend not too long ago.

Just to share what i learnt:

they didn't guarantee 15% because it will be against the law. This is watched over by a UK regulated Trustee. The fund is with a third party in an escrow account, govern by us law. UK citizen can invest in this using their pension fund as approved by SIPP. So its a bit different from what is mentioned here.

So I invested 10k. Let's see how it goes. Not bad for a year dividend for a 10k investment. Test my friend's judgement.
