With all respect, a roadshow saying what?
"please give us some more money"

That's fast!! Where did you get the info from? I know of some friends who have "invested" in it, despite my advice not to.

I have a business colleague back in UK - He tells me that some people have not been paid in almost 3 years. The major error is the houses (asset protection) were bought in the wrong areas deeming them in many cases, virtually worthless. This is a fact...

All of the information is in the public domain and can be viewed with a little research. Go on, advise your friend to forget the roadshow and do some proper groundwork.

I have a hunch your friend might feel very differently after a little digging and would be wishing he took your advice.

from the way tradesec wrote, I don't think the 10k will affect him much even he lost everything.

the worst case is it becomes an expensive lesson.

but it seems like everything is ok.

If you were syndical, you might be thinking Tradesec had a vested interest in the offering and was using this site to promote it. OUCH!!

i am not being cynical (I think this is how it is spelled). he did mentioned that he was trying to help his friend and it is only 10k. he also mentioned that though he has done thorough research, he is prepared to take losses which he feels is unlikely to happen. 10k is not a very big sum to help a friend.

I don't think he is promoting. it seems more like he is justifying his investment. all the other people were saying that this is a bogus company. he wants to show that he has done research before investing. maybe I am a bit naïve.

tradesec also mentioned that he has received his first payment not too long ago, definitely less than 3 years ago.

it does not matter what the roadshow was saying. the fact is if there is a roadshow, the company is still around and have not collapsed.

even if it is not paying its investors, it is still around.

But if the company's not paying its old investors, it shouldn't be going around soliciting for new investors. That sounds like it'd fall under the definition of "trading while insolvent", and that's a crime.

Some might suggest new money is needed to pay old money out?

I have a friend who invested in November 2012 and supposed to get back his money in November 2013. Until now other than that promised 15% interest, he has not yet smell his principle. They have delayed month after month. From what I know, the last investment to the scheme was received in November 2013. After that Infinity Treasures stopped this scheme and went into another scheme.

I asked around my other friends and some of them also never get their money from December 2012 and February 2013 investments. Now they have received a letter saying there is a hotel meeting that the SPV Directors want to explain the situation on 2nd and 3rd June. My friends are all very unhappy about it and one of them even filed a report with CAD.

I'm curious what they will be discussing on those nights. I do hope the press will be there to report it as well.

This sounds too familiar.

Their tactic now is to pacify these investors by giving any reasons they can think of, while selling as much of their current project as possible, before the entire scheme collapses.

If your friend is smart, he will make this as big as possible, get the CAD involve and get the crooks lockup ASAP, before they can do their disappearing act.

People do learn, just that is there always new fresh naive minds entering the money making world with dreams of getting rich quick and easy.

The problem is that schools don't teach us to be street smart.

Many of us has to learn through the university of hard-knocks.

We should teach our children about the "Wolf of Wall Street".

Apart from comments, which I like, are there anyone who can give some genuine advice? I would like to help my friends. I heard the hotel event is a closed door event. It seems to me that they are very secretive about the whole matter and didn't want to attract too much attention. Please advice.

I don't know much about what they sell or what they represent. I'm only disappointed that they did not do any due diligence to make sure my friends are will be able to get their money back.
