Exactly. I think Amaze is losing its advantage over Youtrip/Revolut going forward.

Part of the reason is because of MasterCard fx rate. I noticed MC rate is getting worse lately and Amaze is tagging to MC + premium. So using youtrip/revolut live fx rates is definitely better now.

Ok, but interested in knowing whether Amaze's own exchange rate has actually worsened from the 1% mark-up it earlier was..

Pairing with different MCs requires a different calculation for determing what is optimum. Agree that for general spends, SCB Cash Unlimited is probably best.

CRMC superior for most transactions, 2.27% "cashback" when redeemed for bill offset.

I have an overseas education fee of about 9k euros to pay, which can only be paid via bank transfer but can be divided over a few transfers. I thought of using the Instarem Amaze card to do so. Just wondering if there are better alternatives that you are aware of?

Just to add: this education fee is reimburseable with my company, so wondering if I can make use of this to maximise credit card rewards. Youtrip I believe is out as it cannot do bank transfer, while topping up Revolut with credit cards won’t qualify for any credit card benefits.
