just a word of caution if more ppl file complains directly to DBS this will draw their card team more attention to this card and hasten the scrutiny of amaze (up to bank teams to decide the legitimacy, not our call though sadly). if you just want to get specific merchant discount/rebates (not MCC related) like in this case the merchant is SPC, just use the bank card to pay outright at the counter and not amaze
digging some old post and chanced back last year what i foresee with the heightened attention on Amaze by their cards teams. banks in particular DBS didn't like having its revenue cut (no chance to earn forex) on top of giving out rebates/dbs points, before it finally decides to cut the ropes this year. what a time it was.

More like weekdays rate is bad as weekend so it become comparable to other cards during weekend.
Quite true also. Later I can compare with YT.
In Msia now. Just used youtrip at 1:3.33

Amaze can get 4miles per dollar so no horse run for me. That 1% difference due to exchange rate doesn't swing the equation for me.

Hi all, think I’m few years late to the party :o

Is this card still worth to sign up just to act as a ‘proxy’ to other credit cards that I have? Dun travel overseas often so wondering should I get the card?

And also, how to pay the monthly bill for this card since it is not tag to any banks? :s11:

What cards do you have? That will determine whether amaze is worth it or not.

Just pay the monthly bill to whichever bank you tagged amaze to

I don't recommend using this for anything except overseas transactions as the additional party makes it a pain to dispute. (Technically Instarem has to open the dispute on your behalf, not your bank.)

I use it for fx purchases online, to get a better exchange rate.

what kind of online websites? All high rebate mastercards only give high rebate for certain MCCs
Citi Rewards + Amaze gives 4mpd on almost everything except travel. Those points can be redeemed for a cash rebate of 2.2% which more than covers whatever mark up Amaze/MC charges.

Just curious. Do you usually opt for cash rebates instead of exchanging for miles?
