Maybe because I dont have Citi Rewards card, which seems to be the only card which you can make 4MPD and only if you are miles chaser it makes sense. If you are just going to use it as cashback, then the yield is lower than the fees I guess. I am certainly not going to pay 2% higher only to jump through hoops to get back that 2%. Might as well keep it simple and stick to zero fees.
Good point but certainly not “better” in anyway justifiable

you are just not the target audience for this product I guess

what about pairing Amaze with HSBC Premier MAster Card ?
It gives 5% cashback and definitely better to use w amaze and covers the fx fees

If you read our convo we are talking about amaze vs trust, in an overseas spending context

idk about any fairprice group outside of SG, do you?
overseas spend can clock to the min spend required to earn up to 21% on fairprice group. Can spend overseas and on fairprice group 8n the same month.

their cs really no hope. had numerous issues over a few months, all yielded the same results. didnt understand the issue, only know how to push the blame to merchant or consumer and close the case without proper resolution.

i think revolut or youtrip gives better fx rates.
but amaze advantage is you get instapoints and you can use with existing cc to earn miles.

Just curious - let's say I use Amaze card to book hotel (Booking.com, charges in Japanese Yen), MCC code is 7011

What MCC code will appear in my card's statement? 7011? Just that it's in SGD?

Thanks in advance

Youtrip and revolut better exchange rate but no rewards.
Amaze 1.8% worse exchange rate but you get 1% reward points from amaze and credit cards rewards.
Use credit cards directly pay 3.25% worse exchange rate and get credit cards rewards.

My youtrip, revolut are kept in the drawers. No use.

Good to pair HSBC Revolution Credit card to Amaze card for oversea hotel room booking payment ? ( pay in that country currency & will be ~ SGD$600 after conversion)

Was think of this card as i presume i will be able to get
-10x reward points ( MCC for lodging ..applicable to oversea hotel room stay??) .. which works out to be 2.5% rebate
- 1% cashback
Total 3.5%
Or just stick to Trust card or youtrip ?
Thanks.
