On 9 Oct, 2 of my usual f&b transactions were mc coded as computer software by Instarem and therefore did not qualify for cash rebate by maybank. Found out after I checked with the bank. Other days they were coded correctly. Makes me wonder if I should stop using it for local transactions just for the promised additional 1% cashback

It's best to use this card when you want it to be coded as online transaction irregardless of which mcc..

So is the consensus still to pair the amaze card with citi rewards? I'm going overseas for a month next month so want to use this combo to get 4mpd

Seems like only grab wallet transactions are excluded from cash back. I paid some government charges and they also got 1% cashback.

You can click the 'i' icon besides the "Total Cashback" at the Cashback page to look at the detailed T&C for the card. * Terms & Conditions at the following page.

received the cashback. I am assuming the cashback received for October is for July-Sep spending. :)
