Sigh the usual MS vs no MS crowd.

You think banks are dumb? They have sophisticated software to track spending patterns. If they see a large inflow into a certain merchant they'll take a look. Not just to catch MS, but also to catch money laundering.

And there's the problem with MS. A lot of times the same methods used to MS are also the same methods used to obfuscate the flow of money. So beware when you try these loopholes if you don't want to be suspected of money laundering.

finally, i am able to add Amaze to Google Pay; for ecommerce internet payment and mobile NFC

chill. it's okay. honestly, i failed adding Amaze to GPay earlier; probably Google Pay only recently allowing Amaze? Dunno really, and it doesn't matter anymore.

Only added recently. Never worked before. The previous green light was given for Nium Visa but the last min u-turn to launch Amaze as a masters means they had to rework and resubmit the applications to google again to apply to be part of Google pay with Nium Masters which is supposingly approved recently. Google pay FAQ previously only show Nium Visa.

If you are into miles, WWMC or CRMC I guess.
Normal cards exclusion like AXS still apply cause Amaze still using the same MCC and normal card.

For me, pair with WWMC can get 4mpd + 1% (Amaze) and pay off using HSBC EGA Giro to get extra 1%

Oh , didnt know HSBC EGA GIRO have 1% cashback . Any cap of such cashback ?

$300 monthly for personal account, $500 for premier/jade account. need to fulfil requurements for HSBC everyday+ rewards

You also have good exchange rates for foreign currency purchases.

according to instarem website:

You get 1% cashback on every transaction of SGD 5 and above, on top of any cashback and rewards you already get on your linked cards, subject to the issuing bank’s Terms and Conditions.

Cashback does not apply to refunded transactions or top-ups for other prepaid cards or accounts such as Grab wallet.

it converts everything to online, can get points/ rebate for online so long mcc not excluded.

I feel another benefit is saving on FX fees which bank charges, now mostly around 3%? And you still get rewarded bank points

the fear now is, when banks really excludes out Amaze (prefix) transactions instead of going by MCC.

when this happens then no rewards, miles, cashbank for those credit card and debit card by the banks to the cardholders

so in the end, there is only 1% cashback from Amaze

both citi rewards and dbs wc have caps of the 10x rewards.
