the fear now is, when banks really excludes out Amaze (prefix) transactions instead of going by MCC.

when this happens then no rewards, miles, cashbank for those credit card and debit card by the banks to the cardholders

so in the end, there is only 1% cashback from Amaze
Worry so much for what. Just milk while it's still available. At the end of the day 1% cashback still better than no rewards for topping up YouTrip/Revolut etc.

use both.
both citi rewards and dbs wc have caps of the 10x rewards.
Also citi goes by statement month and posted date, whereas dbs goes by calendar month and transaction date, so usage also depend on 'time of the month'.. Lol

no 1% for prepaid topup
That's not what I'm saying. I'm saying, if you want to avoid FX fees, you have two options:
1. Use YouTrip/Revolut and top up with your credit card. No rewards.
2. Use Amaze and get 1% cashback and credit card rewards. Even if your bank nerfs the credit card rewards, having 1% cashback is still better than using youtrip and getting 0 rewards.

Depends. When I've tried, the Instarem/Amaze FX rates seem to be worse than Revolut. Unsure if they are 1% worse.

As posted here before, card rates are fixed for the 24 hr period. Revolut rates are floating, based on current rates. So if you compare to google/XE rates, revolut will be very close, but card rates are usually slightly worse than start of day rates, so if current rates improve, you will find your card rates to be worse, if compared to current rates.

i tot dbs is $5 per 10x points? so if spent $8, also only 10x point right?
no. If spend $8 in the month get 1 DBS point for 1xpoint, then 8×1.8=14.4 round down to 14 DBS points for the 9×point.

If spend 3×$8 in the month get 3×1DBS point for 1xpoint, then 24×1.8=43.2 round down to 43 DBS points for the 9xpoints.

I see, then is it min spend of $5 to get points? as their website indicate "DBS Points will be awarded for every S$5 spent. Shop and accumulate your DBS Points to redeem air miles, shopping and dining vouchers, movie discounts and more here."

so if we are changing to ntuc/CS voucher instead of miles, both citi/dbs calculate to be about 3+% rebate, both is similar right not much diff

DBS frequently has 50% cashback on points used to offset transactions which work out to 3% rebate without having to redeem for NTUC/CS vouchers.

Citibank has very long expiry date for points earned so its good for miles redemption. See which is your preference then use accordingly.

the 9x points no min spend. Even 1 cent also will be aggregated with other spending in the month for the 9x point calculation. Only the 1x point need min $5.

If you want to get rebate, may as well use rebate card instead?

There's this instarem app where u get 1% cashback on top of your card's cashback if u link your card to the app?

Does that mean it's objectively better to use this app linked with your cc, then soly using the cc?

Can apply for Amaze card from instarem, link your credit cards to Amaze and use Amaze card to make transactions and continue earn card benefits (mcc based and not merchant based) and earn additional 1% Amaze rebate, no foreign currency/dcc/cross border fees. https://milelion.com/2021/08/24/one-month-with-the-amaze-card-yes-its-impressive/

for now its better to charge via instarem card since you get 1% on top of the existing card rewards/cashbacks.

It's not meant to be cashed out. It's to offset fees to remit. Instarem is a remittance service.

Is there any means to export the card transactions history, for calculating the 1% cashback?

so for example i link my amaze to scb unlimited 1.5% cashback card.
if i manage to spend $500 over 3 months, then i will get 2.5% cashback (subject to the amaze cap)?

You get 1.5% from sc. 1% from amaze. Each have their own terms and conditions
