This is what I'm gonna do once the physical card arrives but for contactless transactions. Hopefully the combination can be a UOB PPV/VS replacement cause I'm not a huge fan of the stupid $5 block.
You still have the $5 block regardless right? Anyway, it's a moot point because visa can't be added to the card yet.

For local transactions I would still use my regular card. This card is more useful for foreign transactions.

He hoping Amaze to turn contactless to be recognised as online e.g. can get 4mpd without $5 block for contactless using wwmc

Good lord, I'm tired of sounding like a broken record here but you don't seem to get it. In short, it does not matter what the merchant does. Amaze takes the charge from the merchant and re-charges it to the underlying card, which is why they are able to prefix the transaction name with "AMAZE*", and it's this routed transaction that determines whether you get points on the underlying card or not.

Amaze is the merchant. Why would you think it should send MasterCard the online indicator?

maybe by mistake for a while. But it should not last long.

I just applied for the physical card. I am considering using amaze to link with ICBC Chinese zodiac mastercard which gives 1.6% cashback and then use it to pay Iras via AXS. Will I get 1.6% from icbc for amaze transaction?

No one really knows. Why don't you apply and try?

I am having trouble linking my ICBC card. Have already contacted Amaze team and they are trying to resolve. Let me know if you manage to add your card successfully.

What kind of fee does this remove with foreign transactions? Is it the CCY conversion fee which is usually 1%?
Also, what happens if it's paired with ICBC Global Travel Mastercard?

It's converted to SGD and re-charged as a local transaction, so it removes the 3+% FX or 1% crossborder fees.

Cannot pair with ICBC Global Travel MC at the moment due to some issues

I'm actually not familiar with foreign charges so I'm asking. When I buy from newegg, I usually get charged an extra 1% as "CCY conversion fee" as a separate transaction.
That's the cross border fee. Occurs when your transaction is charged in SGD but the payment processor is overseas. To make matters worse, the exchange rate Newegg charges you is actually more expensive than if you had actually charged in SGD and let your bank exchange for you with a 3.25% fee.

I think you meant changed the transaction in merchant local current(USD in this case) and let the CC charge you a 3.25% foreign transaction fee right?
