thanks.

amaze with scb cashback is the highest cashback pair right?
No really, for no min spend card there is citi cashbackplus 1.6%. For just min $500 min spend there is dbs safra cc 3%. For categorical cards Maybank family and friends 8%, citi cashback 6%-8%, HSBC premier 5%.

Thanks. I was asking in regards to outright cashback without category caps

For overseas USD purchases, is Stacking scb cashback with amaze better than ICBC globaltravel?

Hi,

I have declined transaction using Amaze (listed as declined in amaze apps) and i also check in DBS digibot listed as declined transaction but surprisingly it was still posted under unbilled transaction in DBS

Is it common for this declined transaction use Amaze and still posted on linked credit card ?

Yes. That's Amaze's SOP. Charged to your card first then slowly take their time to refund. That's why I don't use Amaze for transactions that will put fund on hold type or top ups.
They will refund you but it takes time. Took a few days or weeks for refund. Nothing you can do.

So is this app worth using?

For eg if I link my ICBC Global Travel Mastercard to it and spend it abroad, I will only get 1.5% cashback on eligible spend from ICBC , instead of 3% cashback ?
In addition, I will get 1% from Amaze?

If that is the case, using ICBC on its own would be better, right?

You don't have to bother as it is impossible to link ICBC as of writing

How come this ICBC card cannot be added to so many things eg Google Pay and Amaze  ?

So overall, is it still better to use ICBC card than Amaze with other Mastercard when overseas?

No. Using ICBC global travel overseas will incur 2.5% foreign transaction fee. So end of the day u only gain 0.5%, which is still better than many other CCs alone. But when other CCs are paired with Amaze, then the ICBC card looks less favourable

For overseas spend icbc global mastercard only give net 0.5% (3%-2.5%)

Amaze converts everything to local online which gives the rebate/points on the linked credit card e.g. up to 8% for selected categories on maybank family and friends, 10× points on dbs woman world and citi rewards master. Also get 1% Amaze rebate.

Their backend system is based in China which don't allow most of these western financial linkages. I have cancelled my ICBC cards, now with no dragon points there is really no use of keeping their cards.

anyone noticed UOB has added a clause to say no UNI$ awarded for *AMAZE transactions? any data points whether the UNI$ are still awarded in March?
please read again, it's AMAZE* TRANSIT they exclude not everything and it's added since feb 1 month notice and implement since march.

google pay is cos they don't want to pay to onboard google pay, they rather support their china brand huawei pay.

icbc backend otp system simply can't interact with amaze for nuts. both sides not bothered to settle the technical issues.

just use amaze with other mastercards, imagine how you use it in SG but use overseas but without the typical bank conversion fees

Thanks for ur reply!

Btw, after I registered, the app said it will deliver the card to me.
So it is not like Google Pay where it is digital?
Still need the Amaze card to make purchase?
Is the card FOC?

Can use the Amaze card details in the Instarem app to add to Google Pay?
