msybe due to topup limit of 5k in 24 hr?
not really, i removed amaze and topup grab direct with 2-4k via same SCB DC went through, so its amaze issue. i thought amaze is a proxy but surprisingly there are instances where transaction is blocked

I have similar issue but it is grab + another wallet(cannot name here) instead of amaze. Grab top-up gets reversed immediately for large amounts, like 2k. I used to think the wallet provider is doing the blocking. But now that you tell me, it seems it is grab doing the blocking.

Try topping up grab using Singlife debit card for a large amount like 2k, it is fails then confirm grab issue.

i dont think its grab issue, i think its bank issue.

i experimented using amaze with another 2 bank card on grab, $4-5K all went through, so i think its bank restriction. In this case i feel is scb blocking.

With amaze there are lots of things to experiment

Yes, Amex wont be an issue, since Amex is a credit card, Grab pays Amex merchant fees and when people spend the grab balance they recover the merchant fees.

But, when you top up using debit card(Amaze and some other wallets as also treated as debit cards), you are allowed to transfer the balance to your bank account. So grab needs to pay the merchant fees at the time of top up, but wont get compensated when you transfer to bank. I think thats why for larger top ups grab blocks debit card/wallet topups. I dont see any reason for the wallet provider/debit card issuing bank to block, because they will only earn merchant fees, there is no downside for them.

HI all,

My Amaze card is linked to my DBS WWC. If I use it to pay my SP Services bills, will it consider as online payment for the DBS WWC and earn 10 X DBS points? Thank you!

Thank you. I have one more question please. If I use the Amaze card at the supermarkets, will it consider as online spending accordingly to the DBS Women World Card's 10X spending rule?
Yes, amaze converts all physical and contactless to online.
