hsbc is not so easy to approve in my opinion. many years back i was constantly rejected somehow. then stopped for a while. then few years back managed to approve and then i never cancelled any hsbc cards ever since, knowing how diff an experience i had to apply even though my credit scores and everything were good.
Same. Many years ago they reject when I applied first time. Could be because insist on mailing CPF statement instead of logging on to promotor's laptop to CPF website to generate CPF statement. That time don't have myinfo yet.

They refuse to say why reject. The manager say he will lose his job if he tells me 🤔

Then many years later I managed to get the HSBC Advance card after I open HSBC Advance account.

I kept failing to login with messages "something went wrong". Anyone else?

Edit: now okay. It seems the app is not stable.

you were rejected because you took their gift and cancelled? usually first timer approved rate is 100%, people around me all have no difficulty getting with a fresh grad salary, but will face issue when you cancel and apply for gift again. After a few years of gap they will approve, but repeat for 3rd time onwards no chance already

to be fair HSBC CC has the best welcome gift hands down, i rem they were giving samsonite spinner worth $999 for their NTB cc customer

Hi, I just signed up for the card. I have CITI Cash Back +. Does CITI recognised transaction made via InstaReM (1.6% Citi + 1% InstaReM)?

Can I check if add Maybank FF to Amaze and use on Data communication & Online TV Streaming category. Eg. Netflix, Disnet+, Singtel, M1, Starhub etc. Will it get 8% cashback on Maybank FF?

Top up with amaze to withdraw cashback into bank

If referring to transfer cash via Grab, likely the amount for topup Grab has no cashback, right?

Also unless really short of cash, to make the efforts to transfer such amount cash to bank, really make sense?

Just wondering.

They just talking about encashing the 1% Amaze rebate (capped at $100 per quarter) via Grab. Only once per quarter. Topup Grab using Amaze does not earn anything other than just converting credit limit from credit card to cash.

I have a question, say I buy something from a web site (apple.com) with amaze card link to CC A. But apple.com doesn't charge immediately. They may take a few days or even one month then charge to the card. By the time my amaze card already link to CC B.
So after one month when Apple really charge the card, the charges will go to CC B or CC A?

Amaze charges immediately if Apple makes the charge to Amaze.

Don't care whether Apple confirms the charge at that moment or in a month.

If Apple later reverses the charge, Amaze will reverse eventually.

But for example, it is a subscription, Apple does not charge immediately, then Amaze will not charge the underlying card, either.

The card that you link with Amaze at the time Apple initiate the charge.
If Apple charges immediately, it’s cc A. If Apple charges a few days later when you have already switched to cc B, then it’s cc B

I mean, Apple does not charge immediately. Eg. I made a purchase ipad mini in late Jan. Its estimated delivery date is end Feb. In this case, Apple will not charge to the card immediately. There won't be transaction sms from bank or ibanking. Only a few days prior to the end Feb delivery, Apple then charge the credit card, then post the transaction in 2 days.

In this case, I guess by the Apple charge the credit card, if I have linked a different card to Amaze, the transaction will go to the new card.

Yea correct. The same thing with Amazon as well. They takes some time to charge after placing the order.

This really makes things complicated. Unfortunately I think a lot of web sites do not charge the card immediately. Amazon, Apple (if no ready stock), Lenovo etc.

For Lenovo, I made a purchase last year, the estimated shipping is 3 months later. But Lenovo made the charge immediately upon purchase (but not posted), then every half a month, the charge is cancelled and recharged again until the item is delivered.. It will be a real pain in the xxx if I use Amaze card..
