explained very clearly in t&c. $1.5k spend requirement only includes qualifying spends (MCC). anything not qualified, will not count towards min spend.

(d) the transaction does not constitute a refund, chargeback or fall under any of the merchant category codes set out in https://www.instarem.com/blog/terms-andconditions/mcc-exclusions/; and
Sorry beg to differ.

It says total cumulative spend must be 1500. If you have $1X1000 transactions and then $500X1 transaction, you should qualify for the cashback on the $500 spend, since cumulative total spend is $1500. You will not qualify for cashback on the $1X1000 spend.

It states clearly that transactions not under accepted MCC, are not counted in spending .

Cashback is rewarded on transactions of at least SGD10 (or currency equivalent) and you must spend at least SGD 1,500 (or currency equivalent) for that quarter. Refunds, chargebacks or transactions in selected Merchant Category Codes (MCCs) are excluded from cashback calculations and do not count towards the minimum spend requirement.

Thanks! Where did you get these words from? In the PDF T&C this is what I see.

6. THE AMAZE CASHBACK

  • You may be eligible for cashback on quarterly basis. You may be eligible for (a) 0.5% cashback on each transaction processed by us under the Amaze Card in SGD and (b) 1% cashback on each transaction processed by us under the Amaze Card in any foreign currency on a quarterly basis if all the following conditions have been satisfied:
    • the total amount you spent on your Amaze Card for that quarter equals to at least SGD1,500 (or currency equivalent);
    • your Amaze Card has not expired or has not been terminated before or on the day we pay out the cashback to you;
    • the transaction amount is at least SGD10 (or currency equivalent);
    • the transaction does not constitute a refund, chargeback or fall under any of the merchant category codes set out in https://www.instarem.com/blog/terms-and-conditions/mcc-exclusions/; and
    • the transaction is not performed as a cash withdrawal or to top up a third party card or virtual account, for example GrabPay wallet.
  • There is a maximum amount of cashback for each quarter. The maximum amount of cashback you are entitled to receive every quarter is SGD50.
  • Cashback is paid on the 25th of the following month after the end of a quarter. We will credit all cashback you are entitled to receive to your Amaze Wallet on the 25th of the following month after the end of the relevant quarter. For example, we will credit all cashback payable to you between April to June to your Amaze Wallet on 25th of July.

does amaze work with ICBC Global Travel Mastercard? That card gives 3% rebate for foreign currency spending. So it mean I can get 3+1%?

If you use with amaze then it won't be foreign currency so how can it be 3+1%? The last I heard is ICBC cards doesn't work with amaze.

I wonder if others have found duty free shops at airports as a culprit where Amaze fails. No issues whatsoever over the past couple of months with online forex transactions, or in Europe at stores big and small. No problem at a small family bakery, a newspaper stand, a supermarket, restaurants and cafes, etc. But duty free at airports: system failure.

Just used it daily in Malaysia for the past 5 days, no problem whatsoever
I used it daily also.
one thing about debit card is, sometimes merchant line got issue/double charged, it will be posted. Then refund, value might be different.
if direct use CC, usually only the actual one will be posted.
