just check if you replaced your card is cos of faulty card? my physical card now can't even use chip or paywave, totally undetectable. online still fine.

was there a fee for replacing damaged card? did they change the card number/reissue a new card number in the app and how long did the card took to arrive? bcos i still need the card for some upcoming overseas payment
I replaced mine because of fradulent transactions. The replacement came v fast, no fees. Since then, I have disabled online transactions (think cross border transactions should still be ok, as long as online transactions are disabled)

Yup... use it mainly during a 1 week trip in KL during mid June. Also use it during a 1 day trip to JB at end June. If this can happen to Amaze, it should happen to other credit cards as well right? Any known or suspected reason that made this card is more vulnerable to other credit cards? Thanks.
Sorry to hear that. I would assume equal vulnerability to all cards though.. only that amaze pales in comparison in the handling of fraud cases..

Nowadays I just switch payment source to wallet ($0). Will switch back to cc when I am using

Yes, the numbers changed, and before the physical card arrived, i never activated the card (so cant recall if I can see the card numbers before that.....think so)

For those fraudulent transactions, did you eventually managed to get it 'cancelled'? Did you settle the dispute through Instarems or your bank card? How long did they respond?
I have written to both (Instarems and bank) within a few hours after I noticed those frauds.

Thanks.

Yup, all gd in the end. I contacted both the bank and instarem. For the bank, I requested for them to issue a 'temporary credit' to reverse the fraudulent transactions, so that I dont need to pay first while awaiting settlement

Yes you missed out that amaze charges all transactions in sgd so there's no fcy fee

What i mean is that the amaze card transaction amount is based on taobao purchase amount + taobao fee (3%) in sgd

i thought it should be charged to amaze card : purchase amount (in cny) , convert to sgd with better rate from amaze card . so at least we can avoid the taobao 3%

now the transaction is directly concluded in sgd (with 3% fee) on taobao app

taobao charges that 3% no matter what currency you pay from…

that 3% is more of like if you use non china credit card

- u can't avoid the 3% fee.
- u can't pay in cny using the app. If you want to pay in cny, use desktop/laptop. Though some app offers will not be available.

Ok , understand. So the 3% is unavoidable since i am using an overseas credit card .

if this is the case, i will just use my normal credit card instead of amaze card since they are charging me in SGD and not CNY.

thanks for the clarification

Ok , thanks for the clarification

i seems to mistaken the 3% fee with mastercard/visa fee

if it is unavoidable, then i might as well as uses my normal credit card then the amaze card

U can still use amaze to pay in cny if you use laptop/desktop to pay for your taobao purchase. I did that for my last few purchases.
