Didn't work at Shell Malaysia again. Instarem....haiz...
ya. need to go to the counter and pay using amaze card directly. Some ok with you pump and pay (especially they get to earn their own shell card). Others, pay first then pump.

Trying to find a usecase for this card. But seems like it's quite useless now? UOB Absolute Cashback (1.7%) -> Grabpay (NIL) -> Youtrip (low forex) seems like a better combo for forex spend.

For local spend... the mastercard limitation, as well as DBS exclusion makes it quite hard to use.

I use it for overseas spend, mainly by linking it to Maybank Family and Friends + SCB Unlimited cashback

Dun like Maybank FnF because of the confusing category limits. Got burnt too many times on that dining category lol. SCB Unlimited cashback seems nice. Can leverage it into 1.5% + 1% for forex spend. Thanks, will explore.

Why don't use Citi Rewards? Equavalent to 2.4% cashback if you redeem for statement credit.

tried to use amaze for petrol at petronas... tap card, show "declined - do not honour"...

tried a few times also cannot...ask pump attendant and was asked to pay cash...

thinking that I wanna use credit card so wanted to go to another petrol like shell or petron..
while driving, saw that 200rm was charged by petronas!! tmd...

then at petron...pumped petrol, then go to counter and wanna pay with amaze card..and got declined again! ended up pay with youtrip card..

so amaze card so chui one ? never had this issue with any other credit card..

Need to allow cross border transaction under manage. So far I manage to use this card at all petrol and shopping. Before pump, it’s always secure with rm200, however the refund will be given after completion.

Oh, if tap the card at the pump itself, will be rejected. It’s only for visa. So I normally walk in to pay to counter for petronas.
walk in to pay 200rm in advance, then pump, after finished still need to return to counter for the refund ?

Pay at counter so far didn’t pay in advance. They just charge me after pump.
oh..that's what you meant...means no diff from other petrol kiosk...why the pump attendant told me can only use cash at counter ?
