but bare in mind MC already marked up, you should be comparing it with spot rate

What is the point of comparing against spot rate when you won't get it anyway and it fluctuate throughout the day? The spot rate is 5.3 so MC rate is already very close.

you do if you're using revolut or youtrip? i don't use them but from the discussion here, i think their rate is very close to spot rate

Definitely not true, for a currency like RMB, revolut or youtrip will use MC or visa rate.

i just tried to redeem my instapoints but got error annual limit reached.

anyone encounter this ?
does it mean i can only wait till next year to redeem my instapoints ?

Only know of 500max per transaction but not aware of any other cap.

Mayb is the 30k limit. I didnt know got this too.......

This is spending limit, the TS is referring to redeeming instapoint .

ya i probvably hit the $30K spending limit but seems redeem instapoint also contributes to the transaction limit

Which card did you link to? Citi reward have a cap at 1k spending per month.
