to transfer out from amaze wallet, if you transfer to grabpay, there is now a 2% fee.
unless you have a way to transfer out from amaze wallet w/o any fees

I made a foreign currency transaction using wallet last month, will be refunded now. anyone has experience if it would be better to have it refunded back to the wallet or card? as in which yields a more favorable exchange rate
what was the rate/spread like? I had card transactions refunded to card, rate was horribleFrom my experience, can only refund to the wallet. I had my payment source as credit card and for a couple of days, received refund rejected messages from the vendor. Then asked instarem customer service and was told I have to select wallet as payment source to receive the refund.
I did that and the refund went through. Quite silly as I have to remember to toggle between card and wallet just to receive the refund.

Amaze Instapoints nerf for card-linked transactions has already come into effect. Now it's 1.3% markup instead of 0.8%.![]()
Exactly, still a good product. Just not as good compared to when it was launchedWhat can we do? Pay 3.25% to banks?
I just booked scoot tickets for travel from China, pay with amaze in rmb is still 3% cheaper than pay in SGD on scoot website. There isn't a 2nd choice IMO.
There are many 2nd chocies FYI.. Many local banks allow you to exchange foreign currencies online beforehand and then use debit cards to pay for the transactions without incurring fees. What can we do? Pay 3.25% to banks?

For RMB, I will use BOC Zaobao credit card to make payments as BOC allow me to pay back in RMB too! Effectively avoiding any fees and earning cashback in the same time.
Just made some HKD payment, rate is 1.96% worse from spot rate, 1.75% worse from MC rate. Similar to my previous experiences a couple of months back, still let me save 1.5% off the 3.25% rate that CC like to charge. Add on 6 miles per dollar, still the best deal in town.
Sorry, where is the 6 miles coming from? 4miles from cards like Citi Rewards, plus 2 miles form Amaze rewards points?
for the same thing, Amaze gives you 0.5% cashback. rate might even be better than the bankThere are many 2nd chocies FYI.. Many local banks allow you to exchange foreign currencies online beforehand and then use debit cards to pay for the transactions without incurring fees.
