exchange fluctuates, especially with a longer period.

I have a number of transactions with refund exchange rate to my benefit.
that's good to you, all my few refund have never been to my advantage... maybe I am not as lucky as you..

The exchange rate may occasionally be to our advantage, but Instarem still wins both ways with their 1.8% spread.
Then use some other financial institutions. No one forces you to use it. Use it then play accordingly or don’t use it.

Every financial institution earns money and do you argue that they should provide you with free service?

If I link my mastercard to amaze, can I block overseas spending on my mastercard?

Is Amaze card easily hacked?
Last Dec, I gotten a few thousands of illegal transactions in USD. Luckily after informing both Instarem and Maybank, Instarem send in a new replacement card and Maybank waived of the transactions.
This morning, I receive notification of unsuccessful transactions. "Masterclass.com" try to charge on my Amaze card. Luckily I have disable oversea transactions.
Anyone got similar bad experience? I will be informing Instarem to send me new replacement card soon.....

to be frank these things can happen to any cards when there's a data leak. best is just to lock the card and select the wallet as payment option to limit the risk of fraudulent transactions going through.

I am still on my first amaze card so what do you think? I am already on my 2nd UOB KF card within 6 months.

hi guys, for those already using this card:

When this card mentioned "link 5 credit/ debit cards to this InstaReM card" so for example, I link one citibank credit card and one OCBC credit card to this InstaReM card.

When I make my purchase, there will be a drop down list on the app in my phone for me to select to pay with which card?
u need to select (via Instarem app) the card to be used before using the Amaze card.

Is it good to bind Amaze with ICBC Global Travel MasterCard for overseas spending, or any better binding? Thanks!

nope cos only 1.5% rebate. bind with maybank family and friends, citi cashback for higher rebate for selected categories. Bind with uob lady/lady solitaire for 6mpd on selected categories, crmc for 4mpd so long mcc not excluded.

Thanks! But I mean for overseas spending so it would be 3% cashback, and to cover ICBC's 2.5% FX markup, right?

If pair with amaze it become sgd spend, so no 3%. If use the card directly overseas gets 3% to cover the 2.5% fx fees.

Hi i make transaction x use amaze+Citibank 2 days ago and already posted in Citibank system. Yesterday amaze charged same transaction name as settlement for x and today post on Citibank (still pending). Will amaze automatically release the duplicate charge automatically later ?

I already report to amaze and said it is due pre authorisation and they dont have control how merchant charge it . I check with merchant, merchant said only charge once.
So whom should i chase now Merchant, Amaze or Citibank ?

in this case you should chase Amaze. It has happened once where nearly everyone who made transactions on a certain few days got double charged and it took them around 3-7 days to sort it out. it is definitely their end, not merchant as it is really rare (close to zero chance) to be double charged by the merchant when not using Amaze
