Shifting off-line spending to UOB PPV or lady's card. Healthcare pay online using citi rewards. Think goodbye to amaze card already.

They are just making it inconvenient for users... Keep this up and people will start dropping this card. Bet there will be many who didn't read the email. Can't imagine having to think twice every time I pay using this card to avoid the 1%.

what’s happening to this card?
gone where the days where is simple and straightforward everything included with no fee + 1% rebate

Does FX (non-SGD) transactions means overseas transactions are still free when paying with a linked card with the new fee changes?

1. To lower FX spreads when using cards overseas while continuing to earn the same amount of miles. E.g. dining while on holiday using UOB Lady's Card will earn 6mpd but with a 3.5% FX fee. Layering Amaze into the equation lowers the FX fee to <2%, but you still earn 6mpd.

2. Converting offline local and foreign currency spend to online, which allows you to earn more miles on cards like CRMC (yes, some categories now cost 1% more but everything else don't) or UOB Krisflyer (on certain shopping categories).

Sorry, I am referring to the amaze transaction fee of 1%.
The fx u quoted has nothing to do with the new 1% fee. The 1% fee only apply to SGD spend with the selected MCCs.

The amaze + CRMC combo is still good for overseas transactions to clock 4mpd with lower FCY rates than usual bank rates.

already answered no, the fx u quoted has nothing to do with the new 1% fee. Overseas spend in the list of MCC will still incur 1%.
I thought the 1% fee is applicable to chargeable SGD transactions only?

Overseas spending but charge in SGD to the card is considered FX or SGD transaction?
