Intel Lunar Lake CPUs are more expensive than past and future Intel mobile CPUs.

https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-com...approach-for-future-cpus-due-to-margin-impact

Lunar Lake's integrated memory is an expensive one-off — Intel rejects the approach for future CPUs due to margin impact

On-package memory is one of the factors that made Apple's M-series processors fast, efficient, and compact. With its Core Ultra 200V (Lunar Lake) processors, Intel adopted the same architecture, which enabled what Intel says is a great product but severely hurt Intel's profit margins. The chipmaker (via SeekingAlpha) says it will no longer feature on-package memory for next-gen CPUs.

"[On-package memory is] a one-off with Lunar Lake," said Pat Gelsinger, chief executive of Intel, at the earnings conference call with analysts and investors. That will not be the case with Panther Lake, Nova Lake, and its successors as well. We will build it in a more traditional way with memory off package in the CPU, GPU, NPU, and I/O capabilities in the package. But volume memory will be off-package in the roadmap going forward."

Samsung Galaxy Book 5 Pro: Lunar Lake edition
As far as I know, this is the first Lunar Lake 2-in-1 supporting digital inking with 99% AdobeRGB AMOLED panel.

I think the other problem with the Samsung Galaxy Book will be the price. Something like the Acer Swift 16 AI+ is probably a lot more affordable without significant compromises.

IMO, Acer Swift is the same quality as Lenovo Ideapad line. I won't buy them.

Lunar Lake chip is more expensive than previous Intel mobile CPUs. Hence I have no idea what kind of cost-cutting Acer has done to achieve their pricing for Acer Swift with Lunar Lake CPU.

After watching some reviews online, I think the cutback for the Acer Swift 16 looks reasonable to me. I think each have our own preference, but I do feel I have more confident in Acer than Lenovo as shared in your other post on the USB C issue. They are not perfect, but for the price, I think it is the most reasonable. Otherwise, I am also considering the MSI Claw 8 AI which is essentially a handheld console that I can dock and use as a PC as well. Just that the preorder price is really bad now.

I have bought and used the Asus Zenbook S 14 for a couple of months now, and honestly I really like it. Will certainly pick it over the Lenovo Slim 7i Aura purely based on the weight and design.

Pros
Battery life is incredible
Super lightweight and thin
Extremely good build quality
Speakers are very good
OLED screen is very sharp, contrast ratio and colour accuracy is excellent

Cons
Very expensive
Very low travel keyboard
OLED screen is super reflective

Again, you get what you pay for, but I still think the Zenbook is a bit overpriced, especially for local stock. The ones selling on Shopee are the Chinese stock with Chinese Windows and no touchscreen, but with international warranty.

In terms of value, Acer Swift 14 with the Ultra 5 226V seems to be the most worth it, especially for local stock.

The Asus tax is too steep. I've looked at some of the Zenbook and man, these new models cost easily over 2K.
