as long as you don't infringe this you can

https://ibkr.info/article/3101

yup i was editing my comment when you replied :s13:

The problem is that you can only do it ONCE with a different counter because it says: "under the condition that the second security is held until settlement of the initial sale."

That means you cannot buy and sell multiple times in a day with cash account, so that sort of rules out day trading with cash account.

I encountered the problem when I was trading Lloyds during Brexit. My solution was to transfer my warchest to IBKR to give me a cash buffer...

Is tws web faster than the desktop version?
I cannot try the web version on the demo version.
Can I customize layout on the web version?

Once convert from cash to margin, cannot convert back to cash is it? Cash account type no longer displayed

Reason I converted to margin is so I can use the unsettled funds, but need to carefully keep track so as not to have GFV... any way to convert back to cash account?

I prefer cash account as previously only settled funds added to the buying power

Now the margin account buying power how to tell between ikbr “loan” or unsettled funds sale?

Noob question. How to trade pre-market using IBKR? I am told that there is an option under Time-in-force for outside RTH (regular trading hours), but i can't find it using IBKR mobile. Thanks.

It is probably hidden. In the buy menu select "show more options" at the bottom and the selection for Time-in-force will appear.

The toll free number for IB customer support in US: 1(877)442-2757. Cannot use land- or mobile line. Only free if using IP-supported Skye.
Sorry, never tried before. Simply passing the info from the IB Telegram group. Hope it works.
Regards

You can chat with them. I believe they do have a SG toll free number, although they have not published on their website.
