Was pleasantly surprised my account literally got approved in half a day from the time I uploaded my photo ID. Its too fast for me to even figure out how and where to enter referral code. Or is it too late now that account was already opened?

was there a need to upload photo ID? dont remember adding that and my account was cleared.

i sold puts, they restriction transactions. Then on Friday after market hours, they allow. then I make complaint. then they reply me like this

When you sell puts, if it stock price falls and it becomes in the money, then you can get assigned anytime. You have no control even during normal no restrictions market.

Only thing you can do, is close your short put position.

I believe the restrictions were for opening new positions, not for closing existing positions. Did you actually try to close your short put position?

Thanks bro! Had a hard time accessing TWS since yesterday, kept getting login failed error after sms otp successfully went through. Only after a long and tedious troubleshooting did I found out it was actually my firewall which had blocked its java run time updating package.

i wanted to setup this account to trade initially but the registration process is quite tedious. also there is monthly maintenance fee of 10 usd.. ended up switched to tiger instead

If restrict I can’t roll and can only close. If close lose $, if roll I earn $ cause IV is high even at a lower strike price ( sell put ) . What I’m trying to say IBKR don’t care about retail since they can restrict without any repercussion. Me as an example. No apologies, no nothing. Basically use at your own peril by their rules.

1. I noticed that IBKR mobile app and website are not synced. The watch list I have created on the website is not exactly same on the the app. Also noticed other things not matching. Do you all have this problems? How to fix it?

2. Comparing commission between FSMone and IBKR for Singapore stocks: Seems like for transaction value above 15K, FSMone (cash account) is cheaper - am I right?

1. are you selecting the right watchlist. sometimes indeed got sync error.

2. fsm 1 is 8.8 flat right? while ibkr is 0.08%. so seems to be 11k?
