‘Fallout’ TV Series Officially Wraps Up Filming at Amazon, Set to Release in 2024 [Exclusive]

Amazon's sci-fi series, Fallout has officially wrapped up filming this Friday (March 24) in Utah, US. The video game adaptation began production in July 2022 in New York and was also filmed in New Jersey.

Walton Goggins, who is leading the series was one of the first actors to wrap up filming earlier this month. In his Instagram post, he teased the series to be exciting. "Been quiet… been busy… but now… I wrapped FALLOUT (wait til you see this ****ing tsunami coming your way!) and now have some time to myself," wrote Goggins. The rest of the cast wrapped up filming this Friday, March 24, which was the final day of shooting.

Although there is a possibility that the series could be ready by the end of this year as post-production is expected to last 7-8 months, it is highly unlikely that Amazon will release it this year. So, we can expect Fallout to release sometime in the first half of 2024 on Prime Video. Also considering the fact that this is a high-budget series set in a retrofuturistic world, it will certainly need some extra time for the special effects during post-production.

Created by Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan, Fallout is based on the role-playing video game franchise of the same name. "Fallout" takes place in a world in which the future imagined by Americans in the late 1940s collapses in on itself in 2077, resulting in a nuclear war. It takes place in the mid-22nd century, decades after a global nuclear war, in an alternate historical timeline. The protagonist of Fallout is an unidentified Vault resident who is compelled to journey out into the wastelands in order to obtain a new Water Chip and save their fellow Vault residents.

The series stars Walton Goggins, Ella Purnell, Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Xelia Mendes-Jones, Mike Doyle, and Aaron Moten. Fallout is expected to be one of the most anticipated Amazon Original series and video game adaptations after the success of The Last of Us series at HBO.

Walton Goggins is reportedly playing a Ghoul. In the series, ghouls are mutated humans who experienced prolonged radiation exposure amid the Great War. Ella Purnell is reportedly leading the series as Jean, a young woman with a can-do attitude who may be hiding a dangerous secret.

Fallout comes from Amazon Studios and Kilter Films in association with Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda Softworks, with executive producers Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, and Athena Wickham for Kilter Films; Todd Howard for Bethesda Game Studios’ and James Altman for Bethesda Softworks. Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner serve as showrunners on the series.

‘The Boys’ Renewed for 5th and Final Season at Amazon [Exclusive]

It may be a while before we actually get to see The Boys Season 4, which is currently in production. However, Amazon is moving forward regarding the future of the show as Season 5, which will also be the final season, has been given an advance renewal.

Earlier this week, Erik Kripke hinted that Season 5 is already in the works confirming that Season 4 won't be the last. However, according to VoughtHQ and with sources close to the production, what he left out is that season 5 would also be the final season of The Boys. In 2021, VoughtHQ and we were the first to reveal the Season 4 renewal in advance.

However, this is not the end of the road for The Boys as its spin-off series Gen V is likely to take the lead and drive this universe. Gen V Season 1 has already completed production and Season 2 is already in active development with an official announcement yet to come. With slightly a younger cast, Gen V could do a multiple-season run expanding "The Boys" universe.

The fourth season is currently filming in Toronto and is expected to wrap up by March 28. The Boys Season 4 is likely to release in early 2024, but its spinoff series Gen V is set to release sometime in Summer 2023, which will also feature a few members of The Boys' main cast.

The Boys Season 4 will pick up a few months after the third season, with Annie January aka Starlight (Erin Moriarty) working with the Boys as she adapts to making a difference without her superhero alter-ego. Hughie (Jack Quaid) will have some family drama as his mother reappears in his life, but could this impact his relationship with Annie to progress? It seems right that Marvin Milk, aka MM or Mother’s Milk, would take the role of leader for the boys while Frenchie and Kimiko explore other relationships. The penultimate season is set to focus on the Boys instead of the superheroes.

Season Three of The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capone, Colby Minifie, Karen Fukuhara, Nathan Mitchell, Claudia Doumit, and Jensen Ackles. Season 4 new additions include Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Derek Wilson as Tek Knight, and Rob Benedict.

The Boys is based on the comics of the same name by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, who also serve as executive producers, and developed by Eric Kripke. Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Phil Sgriccia, Craig Rosenberg, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Paul Grellong, Ken F. Levin, Jason Netter, David Reed, Meredith Glynn, and Michaela Starr also serve as executive producers. Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios are producing The Boys, along with Kripke Enterprises, Original Film, and Point Grey Pictures.

Credit goes to VoughtHQ for revealing the information first

American Jesus Adaptation "El Elegido": A Quick Netflix Series Update

Here's a look at Millar's tweet from earlier today, dropping an update on how things are going:

Here's a look back at the behind-the-scenes featurette on El Elegido, ending with a "To Be Continued…" that gives us the impression that we should be getting more of these soon:

Jodie, a twelve-year-old boy in Baja California, suddenly discovers he has Jesus-like powers: he can turn water into wine, make the crippled walk, and, perhaps, even raise the dead! As the Evangelical and the Yaquí leaders in town try to get him to use his powers to save mankind, all Jodie wants to do is impress the girl he likes and stand up to his bullies. As Jodie struggles and eventually comes to terms with his destiny, everything gets thrown for a loop when he realizes he's discovered the truth about his identity.

Back in May 2021, Millar offered an update on where things stood, sharing, "The development for 'American Jesus' is coming along beautifully in the talented and capable hands of Everardo Gout (Marvel's Luke Cage, Sacred Lies) and Leopoldo Gout (Molly's Game, Instinct). I'm blown away by the creative choices that Netflix has allowed us, and particularly since this series will feature Spanish and English dialogue." Well, those creative choices were impressive enough to get production underway, with Millarworld confirming via Twitter that filming on the project was getting underway in Mexico close to a year later.

‘The X Files’: Ryan Coogler Reportedly Aiming to Reboot Classic Sci-Fi Series

For fans of the 1990s hit The X-Files, the truth may definitely still be "out there." Five years after wrapping seasons 10 and 11 of the series, there seems to be new talk around a reboot. According to original series creator, Chris Carter, Creed and Black Panther director Ryan Coogler is looking to be at the helm of this new project.

The new take on the series, which Carter refers to as a "remount," is an apparent departure from the proposed The X-Files: Albuquerque, an animated comedy spinoff which Carter was slated to produce in 2020. Talks around the new series described the show's premise as a group of misfits who take on cases too ridiculous even for original X-Files protagonists, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. The show about the X-Files B-Team, as it were, had a pilot script written by Paradise PD's Rocky Russo and Jeremy Sosenko, who were also attached to executive produce.

In a recent interview with On the Coast's Gloria Macarenko, however, Carter remarked, "I just spoke to a young man... Ryan Coogler... who is going to remount The X-Files with a diverse cast. So he's got his work cut out for him, because we covered so much territory." The "remount" and the involvement of Coogler, who made his directorial debut with 2013's Fruitvale Station, seem to promise a greater emphasis on inclusivity, a welcome change for a show that, in the '90s, relied on racist stereotypes to represent multicultural themes and people of color.

Few Details on Coogler's Reimagining Exist

There is no indication whether the series would share the original series' title or whether any of the '90s cast would return, but it seems that a complete and more contemporary reboot would be the likely way to reimagine the story of two FBI agents investigating unexplained phenomena. The series is no stranger to variations. The original series aired on FOX from 1993 to 2002, with new leads joining stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson for the last two seasons. X-Files also spun off two movies and two continuation seasons from 2016 to 2018.

No other details, including comments from Coogler, are available at this time. Check out a trailer for Coogler's lastest project, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, below:

‘Good Doctor’ Spinoff ‘Good Lawyer’ Gets Backdoor Pilot Order at ABC, Kennedy McMann and Felicity Huffman to Star

The episode setting up “The Good Lawyer” will air during the current sixth season of “The Good Doctor” on March 6. Per the official description of the episode, “Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) seeks legal representation to help him win a case and puts his faith in a promising, young lawyer who has obsessive compulsive disorder (McMann).”

McMann’s character is named Joni DeGroot. She is described as “brilliant, funny and self-aware lawyer who is relatively new to her prestigious law firm when she takes Shaun’s case. Living with OCD, Joni has never wanted to be treated differently. While her symptoms take a toll on her personal and professional life, her attention to detail allows her to see cases through a different lens.”

Huffman will star as Janet Stewart, “a highly regarded attorney and partner at the law firm with a fierce intellect and dry wit. A seasoned veteran, Janet has represented Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) in several legal matters over the years, so he turns to her to represent his beloved protégé. But when Shaun declares that he wants Joni to represent him, Janet is forced to let Joni take lead on the case.”
