I've actually been thinking about getting the ATH-M50X instead as I already have a separate mic. Does the M50X support surround sound in games like FPS' on PC ?

ATH-M50X wouldn't have the surround sound. As of the moment, the one that we have for surround sound is only the Razer Tiamat 7.1 but you still need to have a soundcard and we have the Kraken Pro 7.1 and Logitech G430 for virtual surround sound.

Hi there! You can check out our popular models, Logitech G430, Razer Tiamat 2.2 and Black Shark. If you can extend the budget bro, we also have the gaming headphones from Sennheiser, the G4ME ONE and G4ME ZERO. Do check out these models in either of our stores. :)

Hmmm.. Since you will also use it outdoors, you still prefer open-back headphones? Do we have a price range to work on?

November promotion list is on first page of Stereo Promotion. For brands/ models that are not included, you will be needing to head down to either of our stores for discount inquiries. :)

Well, in this case, I would prefer closed-back over the ear headphones. Price range would be 300 and below?

Personally, I would prefer the Sennheiser brand but still open to other suggestions.

HWZ members no special price as compared to walk in discount inquiries? :D

Yea, I think closed-back will be better for your case. For Sennheiser, you can check out their latest and popular model Urbanite XL. It is very comfortable to use, has good bass that is not over-empowering the mids, maintaining its clarity. You can compare with this the Audio Technica ATH-M50X, also comes with a Limited Edition (few stocks left) and the Vmoda M100 if you can extend the budget a bit. Portable with its collapsible design and with a customizable faceplates.

Visit us soon so you can audition first the demo sets. ;)

Audio Technica ATH-M50X has fuller bass and wider soundstage IMO. But to be honest, ATH-M40X is also one of our popular models within that price range. Their accessories include cables, pouch and quarter inch jack, but ATH-M50X provides 3 cables while M40X only has 2. Feel free to try them both as sound is rather personal, audition units are available in both stores. ;)
