Those using ipp . Did u buy Apple Pencil 2?
Yes.

the iPad Pro 12.9 is so expensive. Almost same as iPhone 12 Pro Max prices for cellular models. I guess I will stick to my 3rd generation 12.9” iPad Pro for now. Price too expensive liao

Wah. How to choose sia

iPad 11 with no mini led screen. But smaller and lighter

iPad 12.9 with mini led screen. But big and chunky

Need 1 / 2 TB for 16gb ram
I hate it when they put it like this.
Should go 16gb ram for all cellular models

Much higher brightness, contrast and deeper blacks compared to LED.
Very much like a OLED? HAHA.

Looking to get an iPad Pro as my 2017 Macbook Pro died a horrible death (drown + electrocuted).

But leaning towards 11 inch as i prefer the smaller built and portability.

Just wondering if I will miss out on the Mini LED Technology...

Micro-LED is supposedly the one to own OLED. Mini-LED is in between OLED and LED since OLED does not give you high brightness.

You won’t miss out a lot unless you need the brightness and contrast in video editing or constantly watching HDR content.

love the 11" ipad pros for portability (i have 2x 2020 version). the 12.9" ipad pro (i have the 2020 version) is too bulky and unstable to use standing up.

still, because of the new mini led display, i am getting the 2021 12.9" on 30 apr 2021 pre-order. already bookmarked the sales page liao. :o

going for 2TB 12.9" wireless only. i hotlink with my mobile phone anyway for internet connection.

What's the hype with Mini LED anyway?

technically speaking it will be the same display quality as the current 2020 full led backlight 12.9" one.

at full brightness the new mini led display is brighter (1000 nits vs 600 nits) but i suspect battery life will be shorter.

Ehh quality will be different. Contrast and black level will be better. Don’t forget this mini-LED display on the iPad Pro 2021 has 2500 local dimming zones. My Sony 65” TV only has 92 local dimming zones. Lol

iPad Pro 2021 display has even more dimming zones compared to the Pro XDR Display.

Cannot be the same. If I recall correctly, the current iPad only have 72 leds and the mini led have 10000. This means that the leds can be switched off individually to achieve deep black, close to OLED.

Being one who uses oled iPhone and oled smart tv, I would say that this will likely be a very good improvement

With the M1 chip they could/should have MacOS on the new IPP, would buy in a heartbeat but don't think they will...

macOS is not designed for touch so won't happen until they redesign macOS.

I have already seen it coming when they separate iOS to iPadOS. I rather they use A14X instead of M1. They trying to merge iPadOS and macOS which is really.. iPad is iPad, Mac is Mac why want to merge both together. Really don’t know

M series is more powerful so I am quite happy it is in the iPad.

Likely for iPad to always be using a gen earlier one. This year we should see M2 for mac and iPad should max out at M1
