I supposed u gotten the 11 inch since only this variant available to pickup. I like 11"but still deciding between 12.9" due to the display.

Actually no, I ordered the 12.9 inch version, 256GB storage space in space grey. I was lucky I suppose because I checked the collection availability early in the morning (around 7am on the day of launch) through the Apple Store app and they had a collection slot.

If not for the availability, I might have skipped purchasing altogether. The open slot was my achilles heel for me.

I remembered there was sticks available on the first day for collections for couple of hours. Was thinking between 11 or 12.9 so did not proceed to buy. Was thinking to wait till June for the announcement to see if any significant changes to iPad OS before deciding on the 11 or 12.9.

12.9” looks really nice when watching video (netflix, Disney+, YouTube)
I have the 2018 11” and still prefer this size.

I have not seen the 12.9" in person yet but then the XDR is really nice, coming from iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Waiting for Diablo immortal to come to iPad. Should be anytime soon. Hope it supports keyboard and mouse. Anyone downloaded the Divinity Original Sin 2? This game was launched about the same day as the new iPad - it supports controller, and keyboard and mouse. Hope more of such games come out.

Will be returning the 12.9” 128GB space grey soon. Still prefer 11”. Hope next yr 11” will get better screen.

Heavier as i prefer to use the magic keyboard. 11” with magic keyboard is already quite heavy.
cant fit into my current bag. I dun wan to buy new bag as i like my current one.

the 2018 iPad 11” i having , is good enuff for my usage. Don’t need M1 chip.

Do most of you guys really use the iPad to watch shows so often? Isnt it more comfortable to watch it on the TV?

i haven't use a TV size screen (43" which i use for PC gaming) since 2015 when i last play a PC game.

nowadays, i watch only tube type videos n play mobile games, both on the ipad or iphone.

And no, i don't watch or read 160th media anymore since 2010.

There's Yahoo and mothership news which also report local Singapore news which i get my local news from.

i agree with the hwz ipadpro 2021 12.9" review wrt display screen.

i have both 4th n 5th gen. comparing side by side hd video (Disney's Wreck it Ralph 2), watching them under normal daylight conditions, i can hardly tell the difference between old n new displays.

watching them in a dark room, then yes, the blacks are slightly blacker on the mini led model than the normal lcd model.

so if you are hesitating about getting the new 11" pro without the new mini led display, don't fret. you aren't missing out on anything significant.

i feel i m paying apple extra cash to be the first in line to own the expensive mini led display technology in an ipad. LOL.

having said that, i am happy with my all my ipads so far.
ipad3, 2x ipad pro 11" (2020), 1x ipad pro 12.9" (2020) and 1x ipad pro 12.9" (2021)

they all work without hw or sw issues. my ipad3 still works, though the original battery is down to 25% life now.

yes. the 2020 screen is more yellowish. the 2021 screen is more bluish.

never see any scratches on the antenna bands on my 4 ipad pros.

my 2020 ipadpro does have its screen stratched on one corner within 1 month of usage. my own fault: i wipe the screen with tissue paper.

yup. i see edge shadows on my 2021 ipad pro too.
and the localised blooming in high contrast on black backgrounds. and no hdr effects on the hd videos i m watching. but mine is just normal hd videos from disney+.

I see the edge shadow but only against a white background. Its not very obvious and I am pretty sure it will not bother you much as you will get used to it. As to whether it will affect your viewing experience or workflow in editing photos or videos, I’d say, no.
