If I want to make monthly payments to iras but in different amounts, how should I do it? Can I use recurring arrangement and adjust the amount every month? or should I just make payments manually every month? Which is better?

Does ipaymy charge the card immediately for manual payments or based on scheduled date? If I need the amounts to be posted to my cc within October, when is the last date I can make payment?
would I still be in time for Oct posting for recurring arrangements?
I m using MB card

Yes can. For example; you have $50 GIRO monthly recurring arrangement with IRAS. IRAS deduction date is on the 6th of every month.

Lets say today 25th Oct, you make payment of $70 (overpaying), next month Nov your GIRO plan will not deduct anything as you have prepaid the amount (and overpaid). Then for Dec, GIRO will deduct only $30 as you have overpaid $20 previously.

ipaymy will show you the credit card charge date and estimated payment date to IRAS in the dashboard. Posting date varies from 1-2 days, best is to charge ASAP as Oct is ending soon

Thanks for your advice! Any issue if I pay lesser than the monthly amount shown on my iras statement?
e.g. if my monthly payment is $50 with iras, can I just pay $30?

So recurring has a better rate of 1.79%, then if we edit the payment, any issue?
It says a minimum of 3 payments must be scheduled in a cycle to be recurring.

So if I am new, to max the promo, I should use the new user code to enjoy $20 disc for my 1st payment and then do the subsequent payment as recurring to enjoy 1.79%. I can put in $30 first and then change to $40 or $50 when I need. Correct?

you pay $30 now, next month GIRO will deduct $20 only.

before any payment has taken place, you can still edit.

Yes should apply new user code first.

After that apply recurring code for your future payments. After the 1st payment has happened, you can still cancel/edit the rest of the scheduled payments (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc) no issue.

Anyone constantly using Manhattan card with ipaymy? I rmb that I used to get the rebates from this card, but haven't used it for many months, so wondering if there were any changes that I may have missed?

Asking ipm does not help as they used to share the MCC, but think too many cork-up and complaints that they don't dare share MCC upfront 😔😅

New Fees for IPAYMY ...

hi

We are reaching out because you currently have upcoming scheduled payments with ipaymy and we have an important update regarding our fees to share with you.

Effective 1 March 2024, these existing scheduled payments will have incur the following:
  • Minimum Transaction Fee of S$3 for payments S$100 or below
  • Additional S$1 applied to each bank payout for the purpose of Funds Safeguarding.

Why the additional cost?

As a licensed Financial Institution we incur increased operational costs stemming from regulatory requirements imposed by local governing bodies. These are primarily to ensure your transactions are secure and completed in a timely matter. To continue to maintain our caliber of service level, while meeting regulatory standards, we find it necessary to share a very marginal cost of those enhancements.

We want to assure you that this decisions was made after careful consideration. Please rest assured it is solely intended to offset the increased operational expenses to maintain continued security and efficiency of your payments.

What do I need to do?

No action is required on your end, your payment receipt will reflect the additional S$1 Funds Safeguarding for each bank payout. For example, if you have two invoices to be paid out to a supplier, your receipt will reflect S$2 in total.

Should you not wish you continue with your scheduled payment you may follow the instructions here to cancel.
If you have any questions or concerns about this update, please feel free to reach out to our customer support team at support@ipaymy.com.

Thank you,
The ipaymy Team

$1 more for each payment sucks, i think $0.50 would have been more palatable.

I literally tekan the iPayMy team via live chat. What lousy comms. Didn't even update the fee schedule on their website to reflect the Fund Safeguarding fee, still dare to claim that they are all about fee transparency.

I moved from cardup to ipaymy years ago. Does ocbc Frank card still works for cardup for income taxes?
