umm, night mode means low light photography = slow shutter speed. shutter is open so u can’t expect nice photo if yr phone is moving.

Yes. If it’s hand held, the number of seconds is between 2-5 secs depending on how much light there is in the background/photo.

I’ve tried putting on a tripod and it went to about 20-30 seconds to take a night mode photo - sometimes close to a minute.

iPhone bought from any where can be serviced in Singapore within the limited one year warranty. Only caveat is that you’ll have to wait for the parts or replacement phone to be shipped to Singapore before Apple can swap them. Unlike local set which is immediate.

Agree to this. Had a 1st hand experience for a HK set 11 that belonged to a fam member.

Apple really made a 1 to 1 exchange but had to wait. ERS wont apply here.

After exchanged, set still had a model number beginning with “M” wasnt the expected “N”

This meant that the photo has elements captured outside of the frame.
You can view them by tapping on the edit button of the photo.

Take note that turning on this feature, disables deep fusion.

You can disable this by going to Camera -> Composition -> Turn off Photos Capture Outside the Frame.

This is not true that disabling Photos Capture Outside the Frame will disable deep fusion. Deep fusion will trigger in specific lighting condition where it is slightly brighter before it needs nightmode.

You can (kinda) tell the photo was taken using Deep Fusion when you first swipe to the picture bc there’s this brief second where you can see the photo taken without it.

Soon to come iOS 14 that toggle will not be present anymore and only giving a new option to disable camera view outside of frame under composition which also has camera grid

Could you share with me where did you find out about how deep fusion is enabled when you have Photos Capture Outside the Frame is enabled as well?

Unless something changed since iOS 13.2. I'm pretty certain enabling photos capture outside the frame will disable deep fusion.

Well, it's up to you.
Many can't really tell if Deep Fusion kicked in.
There's really not much indicator unless you pixel peep.

I have this app “Metapho’ that tells you whether each of your pics in your album has deep fusion or not.

If you are in a bright area, smart HDR will kick in. If you are in a dark area, night mode will kick in. Anything in between, deep fusion will happen, ONLY when it think it need that feature.

As long as you enable capture out of the frame, deep fusion will be disabled.
