You are right
The fast charging seems to be only when the phone battery is less than 20%, once it reaches a certain level it slows down

Do you remember the battery percentage when you charge the phone? If the battery was higher at 80%, the Optimised Battery Charging will reduce the power to the phone. At 90%, it will reduce even more so as to preserve battery life. Maybe you can try unchecking Optimised Battery Charging to see if there's a difference.

Seems like the yellow tint issue is real.

I bought 2 iPhones, 12 and 12 Pro Max.

Comparing them side by side, the 12 Pro Max is way warmer than 12 with True Tone off.

Thinking if I should head back to Apple to exchange... Yet afraid that the replacement might have the same issues.

I think that's the way it is. I've read the forum and many who changed the phone get the same yellowish tint. I just off the true tone and learn to get use to it. It's not as white as my previous mate 20 but as long as I don't compare side by side, it's acceptable to me. I don't want to change the phone and end up with another returned phone from others.

Yup exactly this for me as well. End up used to it and feel it’s better

Don’t think they will give refurbished set since it is essentially refunding and purchasing a new one!

Update: I went down and made an exchange yesterday. New set is comparable with the display set (previous set was yellower than display set).

However when I got home, compared it with the other iPhones, it is sadly still a little yellow.

I wonder if anyone here has a “perfect” set with no such issues.

You mean a black line below the screen and right below the swipe up indicator ?

It's in the middle of screen. It just stay there when I scroll. When I press and hold on the black line it vibrates. It looks like the black line that's below the screen to swipe up to home page though

Did u turn off reduce motion via phone settings? If you’re not using reduced motion, then turn off the cross transition fading. Did a google search as I was curious and apparently this is an issue for many ppl. It’s iOS related issue so someone suggested this method and it worked. Can try ~~

Meaning either u turn off reduce motion, or u turn on reduced motion but off the cross transition fading below it.
