Folks, quick check, am I better off keeping my iphoneX and changing my battery and screen (scratched), or getting an ip12?
If former, could a kind soul recommend a good beng shop and advise on how much it’s likely to cost?

a quick question on magsafe. i just bought a magsafe charger from taobao and it is working perfectly.

However, when i try to put the magsafe charger on the spigen magnetic car mount, the charging will stop after like 10sec. is it because the magnet on the car mount interfere with the magnet on the magsafe charger and cause the charging to stop?

one good thing is that the magsafe charger and spigen magnetic car mount work quite well together, the metal plate is no longer required to make sure the ip12 stays on the car mount. a pity is that cannot charge.

still not sure whether it is because i use a magsafe charger from taobao or it just won't work. anyone with original magsafe charger can feedback whether it can continue to charge even when put on a magnetic car mount?

Hi guys, I’ve got a question to ask regarding my iPhone 12 Pro Max. When you take a picture and then immediately click on the picture. Does the picture flickers very quickly and then changes the contrast, lighting or resolution and then the picture looks better? Sometimes after taking a picture. The picture will be blurry for a few seconds and then suddenly looks very clear and sharp. It looks like the picture is processing. All these last for a very short time. Just a few seconds. Is it normal? Thanks...

Mine is like this but it's isn't a few seconds, just like 0.X seconds only. Maybe it's processing but it doesn't really concern me.

Mine does it all the time if I am not wrong it’s the deep fusion and processing stuff done on the image that makes it “jump”

It's normal for the photos to be blurry and the become sharp right after taking a shot.
The photo is being processed with all the AI algorithm.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I’m relieved now. Now it no longer is blurry and then becomes clear and sharp. Now it flickers very quickly and the contrast and saturation changes. I guess that’s normal? Thanks again for the replies. Much appreciated...

There was an update to the UOB banking app. Feels like my phone doesn’t heat up anymore.

I just bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max 256 GB meant to be a gift.

iPhone never cease to amaze me with its exorbitant prices and spartan accessories inside the box.

I waited for a while for the prices to come down to a more affordable level and got it as a sealed set for $1,680.

I will stick to my cheap and good Android phone at $400 only :D

Not only branding, their products are of excellent quality and easy to use, especially those that are not so tech-savvy. most forum users are somewhat familiar with technology, so they may prefer android, but for ah gong and ah ma, simple to use are most important.

people got choices... u go take mrt and see for urself. my father also use android btw...
i didnt force people to choose between android or iphone. not sure why you so offended.

As i am saying, ease of use or not doesnt imply why people choose apple over android. iphone by no means is easier to use. yes it is more fool proof and do not require that much tweaking like android but that does not mean it is easier to use

the banking apps heating up issue for example, you think those ah gong and ah ma knows what is going on? I have been testing on the allowing and deny of the permissions required by the banking apps and if thats the one that cause the heating up issue, and as long as i deny 1 of the permissions required, it will heat up

just sharing. and enjoy the long weekend. cheers

i have no loyalty to any brands either and i uses both like yourself

most likely because they use xiaomi or huawei which is aggressive in hibernating background apps.

I am most surprised by iOS manage to do everything perfectly with a balance of battery life while china OS kills background apps aggressively.

that's why i say ease of use... it just works on iphones. no worry. although mask wearing makes faceid not very friendly for now, but it is really the easiest and fastest way to unlock the phone, so natural. no need to press any fingerprint sensors or enter pin/password.

i'm currently playing with mid-range android phones. x3 nfc has a fingerprint reader on the on/off button, but it is a hit and miss to unlock the phone. the a52 has a uts fingerprint sensor but it is also a hit and miss situation. the most reliable is still the faceid. i believe the need to give credit where credit is due. i'm so eagerly waiting for the new ios and watchos to be released so that the phone can be unlocked with the apple watch seamlessly.
