So we are not getting the mmWave version? Heard that we won’t get the version with that mysterious antenna-like thing on the side of the phone.

Whether we get it or not, it won’t be supported in Singapore. mmWave only supported in US for now

They never say what the right side oval pad is for what (red arrow)???

Left side is SIM card slot as we can see the eject hole.

Possible touch ID for future activation?

Same on the pro models.

$699 iPhone 11 now become $870 (If include earphone and charger). Price hike ~24% during pandemic....

Apple marketing so good till people think same price despite smaller screen and no accessories

That's a little disappointing to me. Even though we don't have mmWave yet, i still feel short-changed compared to the US sets which have. Why should they get it while we don't and pay much more too?

If we did have mmWave sets, at least it's future proof.

And other brands like Samsung also include mmWave handsets in our market.

Then samsung user should felt more short-charge cos their phone comes with exynos while others have SD which is better. No?

launch day next Friday for the Regular 12 and 12 Pro.

Last year no safe distancing, during launch day already so packed with ppl playing with the new phone inside Apple Orchard. This year with safe distancing and limitation to max capacity of ppl inside the store, jialat chaotic wait at the queue surely. Most likely they will only accept entrance via appt booking only for those wanting to play demo set, as well as ppl collecting their phone on that day.

Luckily have Apple Jewel & MBS to diffuse out the crowd.

ok, event is over now!

what’s your choice?

None as planned. It is the first generation of new iPhone, which I consider to be a BETA release. Will wait for 2nd or 3rd generation (before next refresh) which should be optimum and usable with mainstream technology (5G for example) then.

Not sure how the iPhone 12 mini USD$699 translates to S$1,149. What forex ex they using?

Anyway, i do like the new 12 design. It goes back to the old iPhones steel rounded frame. That's why i always thought that the original SE (2016) was damm cool.
