Used to own a Westone UM1 but too warm for my liking. I retired my FiiO X1 II years back and still have my Ray Samuels Predator amp which has been serving me excellently for over a decade.

Now it’s just my iPhone and AirPods Pro or Sony WF-1000XM4. I chose convenience.
Yah I'm using xm4 too, everyday for the past 10 months
But I can't get over the said CIEM

You mean WH-1000XM4? I’m not a headphone person so all are only earbuds.

CIEM is superb, I reshelled my old UE Triple.fi 10 Pro with Unique Melody and added a mid driver, so became a quad driver CIEM, and still works after all these years.

Nice! Really brings back memories for IEMs and CIEMs, but nowadays a lot more people using TWS earbuds. Wireless is the way to go now.
Long gone were the wires.. And this UM1 were bought in year 2003(if i remembered correctly) in the US till now, still functioning well! Still able to use it on my iP13PM using the lightning to 3.5mm short cable from previous iPhone.

A Westone classic indeed. Now it’s just a wireless world, and sound quality just gets better too.

Sound quality confirm not as good as CIEM since everything is customised
Best sound
Best isolation
Best comfort (if no problem with the fit)
