If u intend to use the phone for 2 years, it's worth it. Reason is iPhone can no longer repair by 3rd party shops as the internal components are being "locked" to the motherboard even if the shop is using original parts from another iPhone. This info is from a youtube video below. Basically, from purchase to repair, everything had to be done by Apple. Meaning from the day u bought the iPhone, u pay for the phone, Apple care (optional), subscription for more storage (optional) and repairs if any issues. Apple is really good at making money from head to toe. I think other companies are going to follow Apple footsteps, Samsung should be the 1st. :ROFLMAO:

I thought the great thing about iPhone was that during warranty or Apple Care period, any serious hardware problem is an automatic 1-1 exchange.
Ignoring the debate between environmental sustainability versus Apple’s strategy of preventing 3rd party repairs, having your phone in the repair center for a few hours or maybe 1-2 days could be a huge inconvenience for some ppl. Apple should come up with a bundle of buying 2 phones at a certain discount, to “encourage” demanding users to have a backup iphone.

I shall answer this. It's the biggest in SG, RED is their colour. If u wanna enjoy free caller ID, u need to subscribe to their useless service (can't remember the name and it cost $2 +).. In the end, u still "save" $2+ for the "free" caller ID. I am waiting for my contract to fully due, jump out of RED for good. Rather had cheaper plans and buy phone in full amount from outside shops.
Yes. Im referring to Singtel.
Now hor to enjoy "free caller id" for recontract, you need to subscribe 24mths MacAfee contract which is $3.9+ per month ($4.9 afterthat).

But Whatsapp still single device for now leh. If WA officially supports multiple devices with a single number, then it’ll be more feasible to use another iPhone as a backup.

Multiple platform is coming soon, not sure how soon.

For those on delivery for 24th Sep, now still processing stage right ?
Yes, still processing.

but then starhub reception is really bad leh, at some basements really no signal :s22:

Now mostly WFH. Shouldnt be that bad. Anyway 1 year contract, if not good, next year can still hop back.
Then wouldn't TPG $10 (or even $5 if you know how) be just as good, if not better?

Regarding telco cis plans...wow...m1 cis now so expensive. In Jan their mysim e 90 after discount is $54, now is $72.

After comparing, it seems starhub cis plan with iPhone is cheapest among the 3 telco, correct?

Thinking of going back to iphone from s21 ultra. Sometimes my s21u cannot pick up the touch on screen. At times when reading articles, as I nearing the end of the scroll, screen would be 'shaking'.
Bro check out their EM corporate plans. Their mysim corporate plans are not as good value cause the corporate discount drop from 40% to 30%. EM corporate plans are still 40% discount

Good cheap plan. For me, i'll forgo caller id function when i go down to collect my iphone nxt week.

Reason being i mostly wfh and foresee wfh for the nxt 2 yrs; so need for mobile data isnt strong. Come ip15, if largely back to office i may consider sim only
