Vanilla 14 is in no man's land because of the minor difference with the vanilla 13, unsurprising it is not popular. It doesn't help that it is still using A15 (albeit with an additional core) that is close to the processor used in iPhone SE 2022.

Plus is at least something new for the vanilla lineup and its bigger battery means it can future proof for 5 years+ of iOS updates without worry on battery drain

Personally, I like the Plus more but it is going to be very difficult for one-handed use, especially if you take photos or videos

No point paying extra for stuff you’ll never use. I saw Singrish’s post and I was considering upgrading storage, but really no point lah. I seldom even record video, let alone video in 4K. The 1080p 30fps limit is uh yeah, ok whatever. When I send my family clips of my kids running amok, I doubt they’ll recognise the difference between 30fps and 60fps anyway.

Basically, 14 Plus is just a 13 Pro but with lower display brightness. Front camera is better on the 14 Plus with added autofocus and photonic engine.

The 14 pro max 128GB is same like 13 pro max 128GB. You can take 4K60 video. You cannot take 4K ProRes video.

i think depending if you are ok to be limited by the 'capability' which impacts ur phone?

one may prefer to still have the option opened when they need it in future.

512gb or 1tb may be overkilled for some but i think 256gb is a more 'reasonable' storage size for pro.

For me, storage is important especially how many apps we are using and how many photos/videos we take/share nowadays. 128GB is okay but I think 256GB is safer to future proof (and if you don't want to pay extra for iCloud). Besides, also get slightly more value when trade in.

I bought SE 2022 256GB last Friday and the inventory (which I saw in the Specialist's phone) is that it is critically running out of stock

TBH if one intends to record 4k vids regularly, a 4k sony camcorder makes more sense.
