I've just got my 3rd party cables... & I'm not too sure if I should be using them. LOL! The older 3rd party cables for iPhone 4 seems safe, but I'm really not sure about these. XD

You can give them to me, I'll gladly use it for you.

seem like 3rd party adapters only allow charging and doesn't work for data transfer.

i bought a 3rd party adapter for $15 from one push cart at compasspoint

it works fine for charging and synching data, but when i try to use the adapter with my alpine car stereo or external bose speaker, there is no audio output

will the original apple adapter allow for audio output ?

Hmm.. The lightning cable from the MIC all-in-one kit (fm radio tuner as well) did not work - got this message of the accessory not authorised to charge or something... I had to use my apple original with the available usb port to charge it.

What's the pt then... Haiz. Going to get it change and see if it's just that kit or it's the entire range.

I believe this cable is charging nia, cannot sync data. I use the microusb version. Connect with the microusb to 9pin lighting adapter. Charge fine, but no sync.

dun buy..tried several 3rd party makes..all crap out after use..very flimsy not durable..ie..you plug in microusb cable into adapter..pull it out..put it back in..no longer works well..opened a faulty set up..shocked to see how threadlike thin those 5 wires inside are..wat a joke..most durable adapters imho are still those 30pin to lightning ones

fyi mustafa sells 1m usb lightning cable 3rd pty @$7.80 level B2..same ones i saw at pasar malam selling at $15++ (wat a ripoff)..comes with box..not those plastic pouch packaging..haha..good for those who not keen on online and want it asap
