I own both S3 n IP5 based on my usage, they are comparable S3 definitely not significant better in battery life. Review are usually for reference only, gsmarena shows IP5 having better bat life, so ultimately is based on yr usage

But I think that the change of cable head to a smaller one is a good decision.

Not just usage... its also dependent on your cell phone reception... in poor reception locations, the phone will have to use more power to boost transmission to maintain the link to the tower. Not to mention there will be a lot of data errors and resending going on too.

ok, one final guess :
Lightning to 30-Pin Cable !!! ....
bcos the adaptor not suitable for quite a number of casings ... if Apple is smart, they will make this available asap ... can charge $5 more than the adaptor some more
also, the 30-pin (male) already so plentiful ... been in use donkey years, whereas the 30-pin (Female) not so common (so far in adaptor form rite ?)
