Thank you, for you samples, there is not much difference, do you think so?

HDR is mainly for landscape scenery type of shot. On those settings is whereby you will see the most changes between HDR and normal mode. Taking HDR in indoor or portrait will only see a minor to almost no differences at all.

If you read carefully and in details of my previous posts, you will know that I am not asking why there is little difference between HDR and no HDR in my photos. My issue now is, the photos taken normal mode (Photo mode) are so much different from those taken in Square mode. Square mode one looks normal, but those in Photo mode look too saturated, even when HDR is Off.

My best advice is call apple care and ask for an engineer for advice on this. It does seem like an issue because none of us are getting this issue. Or if you can live with it, you know what to do to overcome it anyway. Also have you tried updating to 7.0.3 and see if the problem still persists???

I called already, talked to a nice lady. She used her set to test, and advised that there is a slight difference between the 2, but not a lot. She advised that, I do a hard reset (which I had done, and still persist) or reinstall and restore backup to troubleshoot. I haven't done the restore yet. I am on 7.0.3

The issue bothers me, coz now I think the stock Camera app is quite good, or better than Camera+.

Shall I bring down to M1 to let them have a look?

Try 7.0.3 first before bringing it to M1.
If you ask me though, even if this is a defect I would not change the phone. The refurb could be in worse shape than the phone you have now even if it has the camera problem fixed. Just live with it if the problem cannot be fixed.
Also, call apple and ask the CS to get an engineer to explain it to you. This might be something even some of us in HWZ can't explain and it could be normal.

The mystery has be solved.

I did a Restore, and Restore from Backup last night. It doesn't help. The photo by normal mode still looks saturated.

This morning, I play play went into the 3 circles in normal mode, then I saw the "None" option in the middle, so I chose that. Tahtah! back to normal! Previously, it was on Chrome I guess.
