thanks for all for the reassurance. Thought my iphone got problem.

Hope Apple can come out quick with a firmware fix as i use the numbers app very frequently.

Very surprised that an Apple-made app clash with its own IOS.:s13:

For those who experienced iworks apps crashing, its due to the corrupted file in the cloud.

Just download your iwork file from icloud and saved in your computer and delete the original copy in the cloud.

After that re-copy the file back to icloud.

That should solve the crashing problem with opening the file in iworks app.

It worked for me.

Cheers.

It happened to me about 3-4 times since the launch. The reboot is quite fast as compared to a real power on/off though. Like when i opened the Messages app, the phone suddenly show me the white screen with black apple logo for about 5 secs and its back to normal.

Didnt even reboot to the lock screen. It just go back to the main without need to slide to unlock screen

I'd been experiencing exactly this kind reboot quite frequently also.

...using the multitasking menu...

Will try to observe whether it's always triggered when:
1) trying to swap between apps
2) trying to swap between apps when certain apps are in the background, e.g. WhatsApp/Settings
3) trying to swap between apps when apps using certain API are in the background, i.e. Location services/iCloud API

I'm encountering the "pseudo-reboot" almost once every couple of days; this is getting a bit embarrassing for the iOS-level of robustness I've came to expect.

Here are some troubleshooting steps I have done so far.
Lets put our heads together to narrow down the cause.

1) Disabled background updates for apps and no improvement.
2) Totally removed my iCloud account and still no improvement.
3) Don't have Apple's Numbers, Pages apps installed.

Highest chance of rebooting when multitasking between apps for sure. Try opening a number of apps, than do some 'intense' multitasking swapping between a recent and a 'seldom opened app' (far right). and the chances of it crashing is high.

Ok here's a temp fix.

Avoid using the multitasking feature to switch to the camera app.

I did a full test and it seems like everytime I use the multitask menu to switch to camera, it will crash and reboot to apple logo.

I also cannot replicate this. I have seen one instance of the phone "rebooting", can't exactly remember what I did but I am also fairly certain that I wasn't messing with the multitask menu when it crashed.
