iPhone 6 plus cracked screen : help!

Hi Guys,

Cracked my Iphone 6s screen. Everything works so don't think the anything got damaged inside. Purchased the set from Starhub 10 months back.

what are my options? I am okay with 3rd party as long as the parts are original.

Further, I have been told the TouchID will stop working once the screen is repaired. is that true?

iPhone 6 @ $70. They claimed it's original screen.

When you use it, does it feel original to you?

I seriously will encourage people to purchase it. i dropped my phone from a height of about 5cm on to the floor face flat, and my screen is cracked. The lessons i learned is that i could have bought a better iphone cover that protects my phone's front n back screen (i only got a back cover), and then get the apple care plus asap!

i spend a lot on glass protectors (SGP) n yet my phone side also got a bit scratched or slight dent in the glass area. heng i buy applecare so maybe i will go n pay $100 to get the screen replaced right now using a SP with crack lines all ard.

applecare is just a warranty n piece of mind n for a person like me that throw phone on my bed, then to see it roll down n fall flat on the floor *@#(*&@@#!, applecare is the way to go

My iPhone 6 is still under warranty, but the screen cracked and front camera spoilt. Can I go Alab and claim under warranty? What charges do I have to pay?

might not be able to claim because its obviously user problem. applecare will cover but normal warranty with a cracked screen is void imo? else if camera spoilt can be replaced

Wife dropped her iPhone 6 Plus and both tampered glass and screen cracked.

Luckily bought AppleCare+ and hopefully can do 1 for 1 Replacement.

I ended up with someone I found on gumtree called Ah Chao from Tampines. not bad to be honest. quite happy with his door to door service and he is very friendly/helpful/etc. Said parts are genuine and showed me apple logo on the cable behind the LCD, and did it reasonable price ($98 + $10 for door to door) as he kept my old LCD for recycling.

Thanks. My iphone 6s plus screen cracked. Replaced original as claimed by dr chao hahaha.. so far so good. $148. Less than 30mins. Got it done at his place at tampines.
So far 3d touch all working..

how come until now, so many people is still gullible to believe when repair shop/man claim its original. Apple DO NOT sell their parts to non authorised service centre.

they can look like AAA grade compared to original thats good, who knows sometimes might be even better grade(i doubt so though). but still not original.

Who is the Gullible one here??
Do you know there are ppl taking in damaged iPhone and for that Iphone not all is damaged so they will use what ever is usable .
So they will re pack it and sell off to those ppl who do repair.
Another possibility is as long anything that is make in china can be reproduced by the same factory and sold off to anyone other than Apple.
If u still think every thing is still under control then u are still in dream land.

How ppl get the leaked screen, Iphone aluminum body way before the new Iphone is launched??

Not sure if you have got this fixed but I cracked my various iPhone screens a few times (either I'm damn clumsy or the screens are too fragile) and always go to Zu'es Connections at AMK. They are definitely most affordable (trust me, I have called many shops to ask about prices and some charge exorbitant prices). I heard they do repairs for other handphone shops too that's why can charge good prices. You can search for their website zuesmobileshop I think the prices are all stated there.

Is consider cheap... but still they try to charge more... the price not same as what was stated on their webby... and they claim have extra 20 if go down to shop not from website.. smlj lol
