Hi kind souls,

At wits end with no idea what is wrong with my iPhone. Anyone knows any possible reasons as to why my phone is acting this way? I wish to find out the root cause of it and fix it if possible since I recently just replaced the screen. Otherwise as a last resort to back the data in my phone up and just get a new iPhone.

So here goes....

Basically, phone was working fine before SHTF.

Phone hanged, totally not responding.

Only responded to screen locks, tried unlocking the screen and got a back lit black screen.

Thereafter, did a hard reset. Reset went fine, but phone hanged again.

Then it decided to die, and now it shows a black screen only. Pretty sure there's still battery in it.

Responds to iTunes, but my phone is locked with a passcode so basically I can't back it up.

Left it for a few days for the battery to drain..

Update - Just plugged in my charger, it showed the empty battery icon on the screen.

waiting for it to charge up, hopefully it boots up so I can back it up.

Update - Basically I got it to work, and left it to charge. Came back to the same problem again...

Should be a prob with the Touch ID when replacing your LCD. Approach the store again ask them to fix the LCD properly with the Touch ID.
