Batteries deteriorates over time.
When on load, it’s normal for the device to feel warm.

Apple replaces devices when they fail diagnostic tests.

At 91% of battery health, it is unlikely that it will fail Apple’s diagnostic test. If you are looking to change your battery for another year long or usage, you probably will have to pay for the battery change.

This one battery issue.
Not normal for iPhone 12PM to constantly heat up.
My 7 months old going to 8 months iPhone 12 PM doesnt have this issue.

8 mths 91% seem to deteriorate a little faster compared to my friend's iphone which is close to 1 years with 95-99%. Btw I'm a lite user & don't game on my phone or watch videos.

I don't use iphone for more than 13-14 mths, but compare to my previous 11PM, 12PM battery seem to deteriorate faster than my previous iPhone. BTW I have not replaced any idevice before that's why I would like to find out what is the process of getting it done. (Been using every iPhone model available in SG till now)

Unless it fail the diagnostic tests, else at 91%, Apple won't change your battery. My jan bought 12PM on 89% now. Just FYI.

my is 1st Feb, look like imy is going to be like yours in a mth time, it means I need to get it fix asap, the battery might not be the main issue, seem like other hard ware issue that cause the batt health.

Apple will perform a factory reset to monitor if your phone pass the hardware diagnostic. So, don't even think about getting a replacement. :s13:

that is a good thing as long they do a proper check!
Depends on the technician....... The good ones will do a proper check. The bad ones will not. Some will get a pristine phone (absolutely no scratches anywhere) serviced with scratches on the charging port.

If your phone pass the diagnostic test there’s no good reason for them to replace your phone/battery at all unless you pay for it.

so don’t have too high hopes
