I have all 3 phones - iPhone X, XS Max and XR.

The XR is definitely worth it for the price difference, approximately 250-350 USD between XS and XR (depending on whether you get Max or not).

The PPI stuff is negligible for the most part. It's the same PPI as iPhone 7/8 etc which was fine for most people. The main difference is the OLED display, and you mainly notice it in a dark room.

Plus point for the XR is that it has really nice colours.

Cameras the difference is negligible.

Also - don't waste your money on the higher storage options, 64GB is plenty, and in this day and age where you have great 4G speeds, you don't need to store a lot locally. I bought the 256GB XS Max and struggling to get past 50GB

Not portrait mode. iPhone X and before are really bad at low light. New camera sensor is 30% bigger and the new smart hdr make a lot of difference.

Ah sorry I thought you were comparing XS and XR. Both XS/XR are significantly better than X. Not all of it is hardware though, some of it is software tricks.

64gb will be little if one is taking a lot of photos and 4k videos. one may say even i take them but i still do not use so much space.

however, if you ever travel overseas for close to 2 weeks trip such as to europe, u will know that it is not enough.

it is not advisable to get 64gb model especially for powerful phone like xs or xs max.

128gb should be a better choice but not an option for xs or xs max.

Especially if you upgrade from old iPhones and never delete old stuffs, 64gb will not be enough. 128gb is best for most people.

I upgraded from x to xr and no regrets. Battery life better, speed is faster and camera is damn good. So much better than x.

Still considering changing from x to xs or xr. I’m hubclub and xs price seems ok for my plan if I sell away my x.
